President Muhammadu Buhari has renominated Mr Ahmed Kuru as Managing Director and Mr Eberechukwu Uneze and Mr Aminu Ismail as Executive Directors of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria for the final term of five years.

This was contained in a letter to the President of the Senate seeking confirmation of the nominees by the Upper Chamber in accordance with Section 10(1) of the AMCON Act, 2010.

Similarly, in another letter to the President of the Senate in compliance with Sections 5(4) and 8(3) of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) Act, 2010, President Buhari has asked the Senate to confirm the nominations of Mr Bello Hassan as the Managing Director, and Mr Mustapha Muhammad Ibrahim as Executive Director of the corporation.

The two nominees are to succeed Mr Umaru Ibrahim and Prince Aghatise Erediuwa whose second terms end on December 8, 2020 as Managing Director and Executive Director (Operations) respectively.

Meanwhile, Hon. Omolola Abiola Edewor, is to continue as Executive Director (Corporate Services) in the NDIC until her second and final term ends on January 24, 2022.

I have a feeling and I don't know if u are thinking in my line of thought.
-That Atiku is not better than Peter Obi
-That if South East is serious about leading Nigeria,the best and only opportunity is 2023 election
- That Igbos should pressurize both APC and PDP to zone the presidency to them (especially PDP, having been so loyal to the party for the last 20 years)
- That PDP should field Peter Obi as President and Atiku as VP(because of his north followership) and if Atiku feels too big for such post,he should sacrifice his ambition for Tambuwa or Kwankwaso. After all the igbos were there for him in 2019,he should also support them in 2023.
- That anything short of the aforementioned, all the SE governors should threaten to cede away from Nigeria. SS too should support them,bcs SE was there for Jonathan
- That just like there was a special consideration for SW in 1999, the igbos can achieve same in unity
BUT what do I know, the SE governors are selfish and the people are not united. Any gov or party in the south scheming to be VP to another north 8 years from 2023 should be rejected and banished.
Listen to me very well and clear, the north can NEVER hand over to SE after proposed Atiku presidency. They have not forgotten the Biafra war and they are very afraid of the Igbos.
They only want to have 16 years of uninterrupted presidency to use ND oyel to develop the north. Another North 8 years after Buhari would be a disaster. BE WISE......
