Nothing suprises me anymore in this country olohun gbo. If Nigerians voted a cattle rearer, someone's ancestor to govern the affairs of the most black populous nation on earth, anything is possible in this country. Let's all deal with the consequences, by 2023 we go dey chop second hand rice, london used tin tomatoes and fairly boiled spaghetti. Nonsense and ingridients !!! |

Oil price dey make me laugh They will agree on how much their nations can survive with and pegged it at that price When oil price dropped, it was because russia refused to stop pumping ![]() Imagine if Venezuela was a developed country, they have the largest reserves in the world, oil price will crash seriously, truth is oil is going, Nigerians better wake up, Arab nations know this that's why they are divesting The sooner we remove eye from oil the better for us, norway has oil but you wouldn't know because they don't depend on it. |

we export crude oil then import finished PMS, AGO, fertilizers and the rest from the people we sold our crude oil to........ The managers of this country are not normal at all ...I just hope Dangote will not come and say he wants to be exporting PMS when his refinery is done....lets sort local consumption first. |

tunapawizzy:PMS importation is big business in Nigeria, even dangote made billions from it, so many billionaires today in Nigeria made their money via that business, dangote is going to cause serious disruptions for so many people, he will delay the refinery being operational for as long as he can but its expected that his refinery will convert nigeria into an exporter of PMS My only question is do people know how rich this will make dangote? He will blow like Carlos slim |

Aflix:because of naira devaluation i guess.....we sold crude oil but we bought it back in PMS with a devalued naira ( lots of cost incurred in importing it back...shipping cost n taxes and all),,,all those cost funded with a devalued naira.... |

iamJ:you are very correct about the bolded......two-thirds if not more of Nigerian billionaires made their fortune in the importation business chain...thats fortune that if evenly distributed with better business policies will reduce crime rate and take a lot of people out of joblessness. I am still of the opinion that for the good of the nation and the people, having 6 efficient modular refineries is better than one big dangote refinery. asides the fact that a monopolistic market is bad economics in terms of price fixation, it is also not going to generate as much employment as one with a perfect competition. if it takes 100,000staff to run 1 big refinery, it should take probably 180,000 staff to man 6 small refineries producing cummulatively what the big refinery produces...more tax for government.. In any case having a functional Dangote refinery is still far better than we are currently operating |

Everything that happens nigerians will say its buhari, Oil is going away, the world doesn't need oil anymore, we are blessed with one of the hottest weather in the world and we are complaining, Nigerians should all go solar, avoid all these unneccesary spending this christmas and buy your solar panels for your home and business, secondly them Innoson should stop producing petroleum vehicles and start manufacturing electric vehicles or they should be able to convert petrol vehicles to electric vehicles, why because your big car brands like toyota, honda, mercedes, are all going electric, and the average nigerian can't afford an electric vehicle. now foolish federal government should reduce the amount of petrol vehicles been imported to the country, if not, this will slow down the transition to renewable energy, also imported vehicles are one of the major catalyst that makes Naira loose value constantly, Think about how much nigerian have spent on this foreign car brands for years with them even building an assembly plant or creating employment for Nigerians, no reasonable country can tolerate that only our useless government. P.S Dangote is a capitalist and a wicked man, he knows crude oil is getting irrelevant in major economies, reason why he is building that plant to extort money from nigerians, this man doesnt even care about the environment, look at lagos with all the dirty air and smoke from trucks and vehicles, you still want to build a refinery inflate the air with more carbon emission, just because he wants to capitalise on lagos market and reduce cost on logistics. why cant he build a solar grid to power homes and charge them for it??, now we people saying buy land in lagos Abijo close to dangote refinery. lol since when did owning a residential home close to a refinery turn into luxury or conducive health wise, wait till all the carbon starts coming out, Lagos also hardly has trees around to absorb all the carbon emission, Nigeria we will never learn from our mistakes, look at the black soot in port-harcout, we still think its normal and fine.
