How about lagos island, ikoyi, victoria island , ajah, epe, lekki and the entire area around lekki epe expressway...they are more than 10 million......

How about apapa, ijora, ajegunle, badia, festac, badagry, satelite, okoko etc they are more than 15 million.......abeg make dem talk another thing......

Economic opportunities in those countries cannot be compared with that of Nigeria. Farming is the predominant occupation in NW Nigeria and the farmers have the market for their produce unlike those in the other countries. So, favorable economic factor is to precursor birthrate especially for uneducated farmers. Secondly, remember birthrate and mortality rate might be different because of favorable indices in Nigeria. Take polio vaccine acceptability for example and availability of primary health care. One more thing is immigration. People move from those countries to Nigeria, especially to the NW, while the opposite not true.

Do you know what you saying? Do you think Nigerians have other jobs than to procreate? Between 1952 and 1960, NIgeria jumped from 30 million to 50m. And the population has being growing by an average of 3% every year ever since.

As imperfect as 2006 census was, 160m people were counted. Of which I blv the actual figure would have been around 180m then. That means by 2007, we would have been 164.8m. 2008 will be the 3% of 164.8 not the 3% of 160. By the time you do that up to 2020, you will realize that the figure will even be more than what that man gave.

Most LGs and states bribe NPC officials to inflate their numbers during census for revenue allocation and other political purposes.

The result is overall aggregated inflated population for the country.

Census in Nigeria is rigged. We may not be more than 150m

Do you know what population of 50m people is? Human being no be garri o. A whole stadium that looks like sea of people no dey pass 80k. The most populous citiy in the world is not even up to 40m people. If Lagos is 50m. You can as well say Kano is 40m. And the rest of NIgeria is 5m each. Making NIgeria a population of 2.6 billion. More populous than China. Making NIgeria 36% of the world population.
