My visa in Nigeria expired over a year ago. I qualify for dual citizenship by birthright. I am Nigerian American. I have been here for the last 4 years schooling without a Nigerian passport I want to return next year but my 24 months visa expired and I don't have my American birth certificate that proves that I am Nigerian to get a Nigerian passport with me all I have is my American passport. I don't want to be held when trying to leave the country what should I do? |

Get it scanned and mailed to you. I mean your American birth certificate. You can then print. 1 Like |

What's are you concerned about when you aren't being harassed by Nigerian immigration officials? With or without a valid Nigerian Visa, with your American passport, you'd be airlifted from Nigeria any day any time back to the US. I don't understand what the fuss is about. 1 Like |
