Sir can I book other airlines or it must be Turkish Airline

You can book other airlines; the main thing is your final destination must be Nigeria. Also, ensure the other airline tag your checked in baggage directly to Nigeria.

Hello sir. I just found out that university of Nicosia accepts bitcoin as tuition payment. Does CIU accept too? To pay for the complete package? Must I pay via the bank? That takes a lot of time.

Yeah University of Nicosia takes bitcoin since almost 5 years now...no university in the north Cyprus that currently takes bitcoin. So CIU does not. You can pay cash if you in Cyprus otherwise via the bank ...or online via CIU payment gateway

Hi. @wip7 please is it possible for a 39 year old to apply and study for a Bachelor's degree in North Cyprus?
Also what are the options for someone with a Bachelor's degree "Pass" to do Masters? Is there a PGD route to achieving that in any of the schools on the island?
Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you

Hi,

If your intention is to go to Canada, you can directly apply to Canada via the permanent residency route or via a university for a master's program. On average, a master's program in public universities will cost 5400 $ a year and mostly is 2 years program. This excludes accommodation and living expenses. Some of the unis have a number of graduate teaching/research opportunities available and your potential supervisor may have funding from their research grants for eligible students.

If you plan to come to Cyprus first. For a master program, EMU being reputable regarding research and international ranking may be suitable for you and your family, however, EMU does not offer a master program in Biochem and the average master program cost totally 6,700$ at EMU. You may be able to get a master's program in Biochem or related fields at Near east University which should cost you around 5000$ totally.

Financial implication:
If you are going to Canada as a family with a total of 2 Mill Naira (approx 5300$ currently) in a practical sense it will not be enough for studies... this is based on my personal experience anyway even though my province is cheaper over there and I don't have any intension to do crude/survival jobs but if you find such survival job there is legal time allowed for students to work that may limit your earning..... I personally can't say if that will be okay but if you have funding from the university will make better sense.

Also, for Cyprus. A total of 2 Mill Naira (approx 5300$ currently) will not be sufficient only for you alone as that is not enough to pay tuition fee, how about accommodation and living expenses? You may be able to get research funding or a Grad assistant position at the university even though it's competitive and may only cover a little.

My suggestion:

I will advise only you to start the academic journey (while your wife continues her business/job) and ensure you raise your current fund to double or more before embarking even if you get a scholarship. After arrival, you can understand things yourself, evaluate the expenses personally, and tally it with your current family need. After then you can make a decision for your wife to join you when you are stable and can support the family and move forward. Living a survival life abroad is kind of thermodynamically nonsensical to me; however, some prefer to live such a life....so you decide what life you want by the way. Some will tell you to pray over it and it will work out, that's non-spontaneous things to do; rather do proper maths and evaluate your chances based on your experience, skills, and available funds.

On a positive note, if you raise your finance and wish to come to Cyprus you can and start your master and at the same time start the Canadian PR journey and that can work concurrently since you already have work experience, by the time you end your master if that is already ready you can move or continue.

Best wishes

The age limit for undergrad is maximum of 27 years.

I can't remember the system in Nigeria but I think a pass grade is less than a third class right? If yes, EMU only accepts 2.2 grade. While CIU is likely to accept such a person.

You need to contact the University, call the telephone number in the admission letter, find an email of their registrar, and let them renew the admission letter for 2021 Spring that's when you can apply for a visa for February 2021 because if the university does not send his details to an embassy he will not be able to get a visa and also his details must be updated with immigration even if you want to use OKTB.

So get that sorted.

Ensure you have received your acceptance letter for the next entry, have your payment confirmation, passport biodata page ready, travel insurance etc.

Visit the website and follow those red arrows by filling and uploading the requested documents in the Pre-visa form. After then select the appointment day and go to Abuja with all the documents.

Best wishes

CIU offers medicine but it’s expensive as it has no scholarships at all, it’s 12300 euro per session, there are related medical courses like pharmacy, nursing within the 3000 euro range. Budget will varies depending on your initial School fees deposit, for medicine it’s 2500 euro while other courses 1000 euro.
So for the budget, you have to consider different things, will you be staying on campus ?Hostels in CIU varies from around 1000 euro to 6000 euro per session exclusive of feeding while rents in lefkosa varies from say 200 pounds for a studio or 1+1 to 350/400 pounds for a 3+1. Just know the program you intend doing and accommodation type to help in better calculations.
