Last season 2 Bundesliga teams in the semis 0 EPL teams made it

This season 4 Bundesliga teams in the 2nd round 3 EPL teams made it

Know your farmers

Oga stop making noise.

When EPL dominated Europe with 2 English teams getting to the final of both the UCL and Europa league you disappeared like the fart of a leprous biatch.

That was even the last real UCL knockout competition. The last season you’re boasting of was riddled with issues cos of the Corona epidemic.

If your BuLi teams get knocked out in the next round and EPL teams remain now you will go and hide under a bushel as expected.

Mechionu make we hear word jare.

Well said bro.

I'm one of his admirers but I'm doubtful of him now. He is technically gift and can utilize space very well but he plays at a slow pace that's why he's always robbed of possession and to dramatically adjust your gameplay speed is not always easy; that's why fear dey catch me for am.
Bundesliga pace is slower compare to Premier league that's why he excel very well at Leverkusen but If he can up his gamespeed he will excel very well for us.

Excelled where?
He was packaged to us because they knew we had alot of money to throw around. Their PR worked its spell on Chelsea board.
Now, Lampard is trying to convince the board to cough out millions of pounds to sign Declan Rice again, who would have been a better addition.

I'm still waiting on those who told me Havertz is easily in the top 5 fastest players at Chelsea to provide evidence. Or are my eyes deceiving me?

I maintain that he can't be in the top 10

In terms of top speed attained, he is one of the fastest. He's clocked over 35km/h before, the fastest for a midfielder in the Bundesliga that season. Asides Werner, Pulisic and maybe Tomori, I don't know which other Chelsea player has ever passed that mark.

Havertz hasn't even begun to do most of the things he was known for at Bayer 04. Even the playmaking/through passing he was renowned for, we haven't quite seen. I know what he can do, that's why I'm not giving up on him yet

Oga, Kai Havertz excelled for Bayer Leverkusen. That one is not a topic for debate at all.

What is he waiting for?

Was he bought for 75m to choose when he'll start performing or to start performing immediately?

That German Bakayoko and his agent needs to be sued for fraud.

I don't know what he's waiting for sad

But then again, everyone isn't the same. Not everybody will hit the ground running. And as I've said before, the good news is that he's 21, so he has time. If he were in his prime or in his early 30s, na there I for don dey fear.

I don't want to make excuses for him, cos even I expected him to have started delivering by now. I'm just not willing to lose hope in him.

If after a year or two he still hasn't reached the level expected, I will take my L in peace.

Many share this sentiment and I try to believe he'll do well too.

What I hate is when people slander Mount who has been working hard and helping Chelsea just to hype Harvertz who's yet to deliver.

Those top speeds are measured over a short distance.
That's why Van Persie also once clocked the best top speed. It doesn't make you fast, it might just mean you have great acceleration over short distance, maybe due to strong thigh muscles for the drive phase, but you lack speed endurance. In my playing days, no one could beat me over 10 metres but when you start going to 20, 30 metres, I was never fast, infact just bang average.

I have seen nothing from Havertz to suggest he can outsprint anyone over 30 metres

I have actually seen him sprint from his own half - somewhere in the middle of his own half - to the opposition 18 yard box. He was pretty fast, and was able to hold off the opposition players trying to take the ball away from him. I can't remember the game, i think it was against Southampton or Crystal Palace.

His problem is he just doesn't exert energy or speed that much, unlike Mount or Kova who are usually bubbling. A bit too lethargic at times. Too gentlemanly in a 'thug league' like the EPL.

But he can step on the pedal.

I Still have my doubt on Havertz. He has got some of the negative traits of Ozil where he can drift in and out games and look like he is not interested (body language), but the talent is undeniable. He will come good with time.

What I find more interesting is the fact that Leverkusen don't seem to be missing anything after selling a vital player like him and even have the next superstar already in Wirtz.

If what Lampard said about Havertz having bad Covid symptoms is true, then it might explain some of the lethargic displays we've seen so far.

Also, English game is no joke in terms of physicality mehn. Even playing normal ball with your mates either in a cage or full pitch, the way boys they hustle you is no joke. Before you even trap ball, them don dey shout man on.

It will come as a huge shock to the system when you come Chelsea and expect the Leeds and Sheffields of this world to just bend over and take it, but instead they're running you off the park.

If you no get agidi in EPL, you won't go far Most managers prefer limited guys with the stamina of marathon runners to the super skillful guys with regular endurance.

I beg to differ,Josh McEachran was worth the hype as at that period. He fitted perfectly into the team whenever he was called upon, and always brought something new to the midfield.....man was skillfull and technically gifted too.injury took a major toll on his career, coupled with our impatience.
