Our normal 2 vs 1 against the opposition full back which usually free either James or chilly to cross was not their today..
Most of our crosses today was down to James inventiveness and they were also from deep.

Those one-twos were completely missing. Ziyech in today would have created overload on their right and top-level creativity with balls flying in non stop from the flanks.

Even at that, Everton had to modify their play to contain us. That's to tell we are going in the right direction.

Good observation Sir, everton were compact tonight they didn't leave too much space unlike the everton that face the likes of man utd Crystal palace and Co.

Been a while since we lost a game. It just didn't work out for us today.

Long rang shooting, crossing and individual brilliance are usually the three ways to beat a team that sits deep.

Mount is out best bet from range, and he hit the post.

Unfortunately Ziyech was out, and the quality of James' crossing wasn't up to his standard.

In terms of individual quality, Pulisic is our best bet but he too was missing.

I actually lauded Lampard for bringing in Abraham and pairing him with Giroud. If crossing is the main way of creating chances, you might as well play two strikers. It just wasn't to be tonight.

Nothing to cry about sha. Onto the next one.
