Foolish analysis that's why whites are ahead of us in everything even in juju. when a group of people migrate to a new virgin land the first thing they do is to name the place with their language, which is usually the family name, you migrated from Benin but named your cities, villages, town and cities with a Igbo names isn't that illogical? Let's say you truly came from Benin is there no any chance that upland igbos too settled amongst you as migrants centuries ago? Or don't upland igbos travel to trade.. If this ikwerre argument was a court case I am sure the igbos would have won the case because the evidence is too overwhelming.. |

What is wrong with you people that you always escape that bini kingdom? Every clan of delta and rivers that deny being Igbo claim they fled bini kingdom. We need to inspect what is in that bini that chases you and why is the Igboland you all run to. Why dont you run to Yoruba, why Igbo? There also must be something about Igboland that is nurturing and protective. |

The man fled Benin and settle at ndoni where he married a wife that gave birth to ogba to gain the love of the peoole..which means people are already there before he came. Where is the wife from? How come ndoni is part of ogba? So ndoni is older than ogba but ndoni is under ogba local government area.. This story have many contradictions. Let me ask Peter odili |

Admissionclass:The illogicalities of the fools beg for caution. Akalaka, Ochichi, Ekpeye, Ogba, Ndoni and Ihuoha have roots in Igbo land and no iota of Bini. The fool does not even know another name for Ekpeye. Akalaka is also Akaraka. Ochichiri is Ochichi. |

In your fourth paragraph you said: "While in Ndoni, he married a second wife to gain the love and favour of the people." Now, the woman you refer to in that paragraph, of what origin is she? So there were tribes resident in the locality? I don't even know why I'm commenting on these foolish treads |

AsiwajuNdigbo:Bro, you get sense. Why must they all run eastwards? Why didn't they run westwards and from there, claim the are from Edo. There are Yoruba people in Enuani, Anioma who said that they first settled in Bini kingdom, before coming to Aniomaland. These people speak their native Yoruba language, alongside Igbo their host language. It is not a recent something it being so for hundreds of years and the still have elements of where they originally came from. If you keep on lying you will one day believe that the lies are nothing but the truth. Didn't Uche Okwukwu, the leader of Igbo youths from, Ikwerre say that their people lied about their identity because they would be marginalized or mocked for being Igbo after the civil war. Now the children of these people that lied about the identity believes that the lies of their fathers are nothing but the truth. Lastly, the reason these people keep on denying Igbo is because they think we are losers; failure and the won't make by attaching to us their blood. I don't why our brothers keep on trying to to make them realize that they are one of us; we should leave these people and behave as if we don't know them. In future, the same way black Americans come back to see their blood, in Africa, these people will come back to reconnect with us. But we should not accept them, for the made others to call us attachee by force and mock us. |

Truely Akalaka's father like many upland igbos migrated to Benin for trade with the benin people and portuguese. He was coopted into the royal family due to his enterprising bearings. His son Akalaka was fingered in an assassination attempt on the Oba of his time and what did he do after- he ran back to his ancestral roots for protection. He didn't run to yorubaland neither did he run south. He ran back eastwards to join his kiths his father left behind and the rest is history. Note: Not all ikwerre trace their ancestry from Akalaka genealogy though it is the most prominent narrative currently. There were waves if migration from Aro, Ngwa, Owerri , Anioma, and even far away Awka. Ikwerre clans like Isiokpo, some Obio clans have a different origin and it is well documented. |

I and my friends have read the history of BENIN empire, there is no mention at all of any person named Akalaka. The name Akalaka is an Igbo name meaning destiny or the lines on a person's hand. Ikwerres are Igbos, even an Benin person knows this. |

aniomadei1975:I thought we've civilized you Afonjas enough to know the meaning of dialect. Its like asking whether "want" and "wanna" are the same thing. Or "going" and "gonna" "gonna" and "gon" "Alright" and "Aiight" Illiterate. Your argument is based on the spelling. Common romanisation of already existing vocabulary. Did you even pronounce the two words? Its just like "anyị" and "ayi" "nkịta" and "nkuta" Please run to the next Igbo man you see on the road to renew your civilization |
