I’m in cuffs in Uganda right now with Tems

I’m just a singer trying to entertain, why am I being set up in Uganda?
https://twitter.com/Omah_Lay/status/1338476749361983489?s=19

I didn’t organize a show, I came on stage and saw teeming fans and sang to them...
https://twitter.com/Omah_Lay/status/1338476877044985857?s=19

Why am I being detained? Why am I not been given a right to a fair hearing?

Why is Uganda not letting @NigeriaMFA step into this? They have been trying to secure our release to no avail.

Is there something bigger at play in Uganda? Why do I have to take the fall for ithuh

This isn't fair at all , the organisers should be the one in those cuffs ,they should have informed the artists , this is very bad from the Ugandan government

Some lowlifes are already judging you here without knowing the whole story

POLICE ESCORTED THEM FROM AIRPORT
POLICE ESCORTED THEM TO HOTEL
POLICE ESCORTED THEM TO VENUE

ORGANIZERS MADE THE SHOW HAPPEN
SHOW WAS APPROVED

later POLICE ARRESTS ARTIST
WHO HAVE BEEN ESCORTING THEM?
WHO ORGANIZED THE SHOW
WHO APPROVED THE SHOW?

and some oloriburuku here in Nigeria are already praising Uganda for no impunity

olorun werey lomo elomi
People are just stupid in this country

The organizers of the show should be held accountable, not an international artist who has traveled miles to perform. Those that secured the permit, location and sold tickets be held responsible. So unfair...

Why does he expect that the Nigerian foreign ministry has a right to secure his release?

If the Ugandans are violating his rights in anyway, the matter is to be settled in Court (both local and international) not by the foreign ministry.

We will sanction them for this

That is what you get if your country is not respected. There's no hidden card, every African country is just flexing their muscle with Nigeria because they know we are a toothless bull dog with no president.

I don't see why you should handcuff someone who broke covid19 protocol and who did not show any sign of resistance as at the time of his arrest

well, since very few people know Uganda, this is an opportunity for the world to know them
Re: Omah Lay Says Uganda Is Not Allowing The Nigerian Government Intervene by Teaser4(m): 3:59pm On Dec 14, 2020
Be like say dem wan frustrate this kid small... Uganda with babalawo emblem.... We go send bandits to rescue am if una no release am

Re: Omah Lay Says Uganda Is Not Allowing The Nigerian Government Intervene by Hambivert:
It is sparogative to note that Nigeria's foreign influence has reduced drastically under this administration, despite their incessant foreign trips.

I shake my head for those who still thinks those foreign trips by the president were important.

Total waste of tax payers money!

If Uganda can prevent the Nigerian government from interfering on the matters of Nigerians, what then would South Africa dohuh

So sad Omah Lay and Tems had to find out in common Uganda that the former Giant of Africa has mutated to a Dwarf
Re: Omah Lay Says Uganda Is Not Allowing The Nigerian Government Intervene by Myhusband(m): 3:59pm On Dec 14, 2020
sad

this surely had political undertone because America and other countries that had huge causalities of this Covid-19 don't go this extreme

how I wish Abike Dabiri can follow this case up and get in touch with Uganda government to be sensible enough, it's obvious common sense had been a throwback to Uganda people and her leaders for a decade because this Omah disposition shows he knows his right and if their judicial ain't corrupt like ours, his disposition he buttressed will not only set him and tems free but will also ordered the police of Uganda and the govt to compensate them for the embarrassment

I thought NPf was useless until omah and tems was arrested, so stupid people plenty in Uganda as well

Xenophobic fûckers in government.

No wonder Museveni has been toying with their destinies for 34 years.
