Now that it seem the time is over let's talk about all the traumatic experiences of the #EndSars... 1. Who armed Some people: There is something unique about Igboland that I don't think is applicable to other places. Many people thought that becuase we were not burning down structure in Igboland that the terror was much different, honestly it was a little more scary in Enugu in particular, I don't know but who armed some people, at one point especially on the palliative rush day, after some police man shot someone who went on palliative rush, some group of armed men came out from no where with AK 47, ready to confront the military and police, these guys just want to defend the people, honestly Igboland didn't have much of hudlums experience, we just had people ready to defend us. 2. The Vandalism Syndrome failed in Igboland: People had a lot of opportunities to vandalize but they didn't, police was out of the way but apart from minor touch to ATM stand there was nothing more, even the banks was not done much damages, in Enugu for instance I know that some statues was burnt and some old bus stands burnt too but those where just minimal damage. 3. With police Gone for days, Crime rate did not increase much For weeks the police where not on the road but crime did not increase, Enugu in particular only experienced heavy traffic jam but there were no increase in crime, life was just normal although the city looked empty and smelled funny to me. 4. No palliative for us and yet people died: Even when we did not get any palliative, two people had to die that day, one was shot as they tried to make their way into the assumed palliative warehouse and the other was hit by a stray bullet as police and army was shooting into the air as they rushed to protect the area where the palliative was. 5. It was in all a terrifying experience both on the police,: Up till now the police are still traumatised, we used to play ball in MOPOL baracks in Enugu but now, the police no longer allow any activities there, I know police are human too, it was not easy for them, I wish now that it a bit okay, some officers could go through some therapy. 6. Many parent hugged their kids with more passion: Boys were more targeted, I can remember I needed to travel at that point for something very urgent I know how hard it was for my family, they put across a lot of call including making arrangements for me to be smuggled into Enugu becuase public transport was no longer working, even as I travelled it was scary not to be cought in the middle of fire. Thank God for life and for those who lost their life in the struggle, may God rest your souls, I strongly believe you did not die in vain. |

Igbos have a way of doing their own things. We don't join the bandwagon but do everything on our own terms. We move |

Fahdiga:I think we should just give to the Igbos when it comes to surviving under intense situations without losing focus or composure and they can withstand hijacks |
