MY DECEMBER EXPERIENCE
by Ehi Jay.
(The Talking Poet)

December 2020 didn't welcome nicely.
From the very first day we met, he had this frown on his face like he wasn't pleased to see me. Where as I was elated to finally meet him, despite all I went through in the hands of his eleven siblings.

I spent the last night in November at a prayer lodge, to spiritually prepare for him without an inkling that he has other plans for me. After some spiritual exercise that night, I decided to rest a while while waiting for the arrival of December's first morning wondering why it was taking that long to come.

As I let go of my grip on consciousness from the height of wakefulness so as to fall asleep but couldn't fall, as sleep's gravity dropped down to zero on me that I found my self floating in the space between sleepiness and wakefulness. It was in that moment I received December's first emissaries; the cold breeze of the Plateau laddened with dusts, accompanied by a merry band of mosquitoes playing mournful music for my ears only.

By the time December's first morning arrived, his emissaries seemed to have long gone, though I could still feel their presence as the cold was bitting harder and series pains that felt like multiple needles had pierced by skin. I only realised a day later that my kindness to the cold, the dust and mosquitoes left me exposed to an attack.

Before I realized it, they have already detonated in me a biological weapon of malaria, typhoid and strains of microbes I knew not, whose impact shook by body system to the core. I had to fight back by acquiring expensive chemical weapons from a high-tech pharmacy with foreign grants, to fight back. It took about15 day to win the war and recover from the damages caused.

I am strong now. Glory be to God.

The best part of this experience is a vision that rekindled a passion which leave an impression on the skeptics that it may have been hallucinations resulting from the impact of the invasion.
Notwithstanding, at word of the Lord, I am writing this vision down, and will make plain on the tables to provoke whosoever reads(listens) to it to act.

Watch this space, before Christmas it shall be unveiled.

The diction here is really captivating. You personified December, double check. You got my attention here and also made me feel like I was reading "THE PROUD KING", which is also sweet. Ever read the poem?
