I studied linguistics in Anambra state university Few years back now,I have been having this zeal to further my education by entering into health field but having arts background has been a big challenge to me,I joined arts class in ss2 due to friends influence and science teachers attitude even thou I don't do well in government. My zeal for the health field made me join red cross,but its very far from being enough. Am 29yrs,female I want to pursue my real dream by starting afresh I just need opinions, is it possible to use My degree result to forge ahead in health field and how do I go about it? Or should I start afresh with jamb and waec? I know a lot already about human body and drugs I want to be schooled in the field 1 Like |

Well from the best of my knowledge u can't use your Art related degree to apply for medicine You'll have to write A new WAEC and Jamb But before you do that I'd advice you get a private tutor to take you through the world of science So you can get a grasp of what science is about before jumping to study medicine and surgery and you should also know studying courses like this are usually very intensive unlike English language 1 Like |

be very meticulous with schools you'll be picking, God will see you through. never make anyone discourage you.

Wow ! I am a 500 level student of Mechatronics and Systems engineering ,but I am intensively preparing for 2021 JAMB for MBBS. What do I mean ? Just write new WAEC and JAMB pursue your real dream. Wish you success! |

hmmm from art to medicine its like moving a fish from salt water to fresh water..its two extreme ends..its not just by writting another waec, u av to be grounded in science courses or else you won't even cross 100l..I'm sure u don't know d full meaning of DNA or have an idea of wat Nitrogen 1 oxide or lysoxome means... you have alot of work to do but its attainable..yes it is..find a good scul, start from SS1 afresh as a science student, be grounded in it, then take jamb and waec again.. |

Beauty4ashz:Congratulations on your decision to pursue your dream. You need to be very grounded in science subjects in order to do well in any medical course. I'm afraid for you though, because even those with science background do struggle sometimes in medical courses, much less someone with little or no science background. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible! Sit for WAEC and JAMB, get tutors and be patient to learn. Do not say " i know this or that already, there's no need". Beauty4ashz:why don't you think about prefix your name with Dr. Just try to do a PHD in your interested feild and after the completion of your PhD thesis.
