Not exactly, Michael Jordan made his wealth by being an employee of the Chicago Bulls and Jay Z and Kanye were also employees of their recording labels. Messi and co are employees. Lots of people are employees and earn millions of dollars a month, which they then wisely invest in stocks, real estate etc.
You can be an employee and be rich-as long as you are wise, work hard AND SMART and understand the principle of time and place

Yeah, I guess I understand what you mean. What I meant to say was they didn't become billionaires by depending solely on their salaries and wages. Without strategic investments, it's almost impossible to attain a billionaire status.
