President Muhammadu Buhari says he will not be hosting the usual Christmas homage by religious and community leaders this year, Igbere TV reports. A statement by his spokesman Garba Shehu on Thursday posted on Twitter said the move was to comply with COVID-19 protocols. The statement read: “In line with the prevailing protocol put in place by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, restricting large gatherings, President Muhammadu Buhari will not be hosting the usual Christmas homage by religious and community leaders in the Federal Capital Territory.https://twitter.com/GarShehu/status/1342105964418375680?s=20 Buhari had in May also cancelled Sallah homage due to COVID-19. 1 Like
