No man owes 10% of his earnings to anybody. He worked for it. Even if their God told them to give a tithe of their earnings, it's optional and not by force.

Yet some people say government sharing 10k 20k 30k or 50k Is not appreciated by anyone in Naija. You never meet people in dare need. The entire package of buying the oranges and gifting something is within same cost. You can see the appreciation and how it touched her.

The amount given will not solve all her problems but atleast she can rest for a day or two knowing she has enough to eat.

Things hard.

As a rule,i don't haggle with anyody bearing goods on the head or pushing on a barrow..,and l buy them atleast a tenth of what i buy for myself from them

After giving alms I will still give my tithe to the poor. I don't give a fucck about what anybody feel or think.


Tithe is never been used the way it's supposed to be used here and it's quite glaring. So I will rather convert my tithes to alms.



This I saw today has further expose me to giving back to the poor. Tho I do this too but I think I will make it a priority to do it twice a week from now henceforth

OK. I thought it's been shared to. Levites working in church with no other jobs, provide food to the church for the needy and given to widows. So, who is tithe meant for if not for the needy?

The levites did not work in church because they didn't have any jobs. Instead they were chosen specially to serve in the temple . Read numbers 18 Vs 1-7 . They were descendants of Aaron. God first choose Aaron and told him to bring his fellow levites to join him. He didn't mention any other tribe, just the levites.

And even if they didn't have anything to do or where poor, the tithes were their payments for the work they do in the church. It's just like a payed salary. It's very different from the poor and needy. They beg for free money and not their hard earned money.
