When you have zero friends, no partner no job, no family, no where to go. How do your pass your day being so isolated??
They hardly even bring electricity, even if they do. Nothing interesting happening online.. No lively chatter to cheer you up.

Friends... You can get likeminds on social media. Yes, you are lady but if you're smart, you can both genders has good friends. From there, you can pick up a partner.

Job.. My dear, online job is now the way forward. Start learning what you are passionate about. Lots of it on nairaland. Here is my second home. I have friends here. Buy gadgets, make money and learn here.

Electricity.. That you need to find away around. Get a phone with good battery life. Get a strong power bank and stuffs you think can make it work. You just have to find away. It sucks though, but this is Nigeria, complaining does not solve problems, it creates depression.

Start from Nairaland. Be open minded and ensure you draw the lines in relationships and business deals.

It worked for me.

Are you really lonely or just alone? If you're lonely, how about taking this opportunity to travel to family or friends?

If you live alone, it's something you get used to. It helps if you're introverted. Like someone said above, pick a side skill/hobby. There are cheap courses on Udemy and others like it.

Once you get into it, time passes so quickly. On weekends or whenever you feel like it, hangout alone. There's nothing wrong with taking yourself to the movies alone. Or eating in a restaurant by yourself. Don't wait for anyone. Saves you drama and money.


And when you need someone to talk to, you can always call friends via whatsapp call. Perfect for lengthy calls. Hope this helps.


P. S

Hiking groups are great for meeting new people and making new friends. I don't know where you live but I'm almost too certain you'll have a few in your city. Find and join them or even start one yourself. You will meet like-minded people there.

I prefer being alone. Give me a fully charged phone with data and I can be alone comfortably for months
