The Nigerian government has recorded 1,016 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to a tally by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), worldtopnewsng.com can confirm.

It marked the fifth time the country’s daily new cases reached four figures — and is the fourth-highest single-day jump in infections since the pandemic began.
