Frankly, I don't even know why they remade this movie. I'm not a fan of Nollywood movies, but I heard they've made decent progress so I thought to watch this one. Plus I still have nostalgic memories of the original. But this... this was just wack.

The storyline was jumbled and illogical; the dialogue/script was totally cringe-worthy, as in I just weak. I don't even understand the point of the flash-back scenes - at that point in the movie there was no need. What was Ramsey Noauh thinking?? There's barely ANY reference to the titular Rattlesnake in the movie. The only real positive for me was Chinyere Wilfred; she gave a 10/10 performance. I think Bucci Franklin also acquitted himself decently as "Nze" (now that I think about it, me thinks he'd have done better as "Ahanna".

The dude that acted as a dismissed soldier was a mistake fit.

I think the story too is disjointed.

But the camera, props and venues are good enough.

the critics are yet to speak and we are already discouraged

The quality of a screenplay is not dependent on whether its story source is true life or fiction; it is dependent on the script-writer, with some degrees of influence from the director and producer.

I'm not very familiar with current Nollywood actors, but I felt Ramsey Nouah directing would give something worthwhile. I mean, he's been around long enough and would have picked up some skills from Hollywood/Bollywood contemporaries... Alas, I was so wrong.

Yeah, props and cam were mostly ok, but those are wasted if the script and screenplay are wack.

That ex-soldier's lines were the worst!
