says Kidnappers use ransom money to buy weapons

By Ibrahim HassanWuyo

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has raised alarm that camels carrying lot of baggage’s were crossing Nigeria’s borders into the country on a daily basis.

This was contained in a statement titled, “Our borders and insecurity” made available to journalists on Thursday by the ACF’s national chairman, Audu Ogbeh.

He said the forum was informed of the disturbing development by some of ACF’s members from Sokoto and Zamfara states.

“And they observed that nobody checks their baggage and nobody knows what is being brought into Nigeria,” he said.

Mr. Ogbe alleged that ransom money were being used by terrorists to buy illegal arms, stressing “It is clear now from what we know that as victims pay ransoms to the kidnappers ,the money is instantly converted to more sophisticated weapons and instruments of death by the kidnappers."

According to him, ” the forum observed that large consignments were being transported into the country on daily basis unchecked.

The forum is worried that this kind of situation will persist for a long time.”

At the last meeting of our National Executive Council, NEC, in October 2020, our members, particularly from Sokoto and Zamfara, reported that large consignments of Camels were crossing our borders into Nigeria with a lot of baggage on their backs on a daily basis.

And they observed that nobody checks their baggage and nobody knows what is being brought into Nigeria.

“The question Arewa Consultative Forum would like to ask the security agencies is what are the Camels carrying and where they are heading?

“The ACF is alarmed that this kind of situation should persist at a time when weapons of all kinds are coming into our country and worsening the climate of terror and national uncertainty.

“It is clear now from what we know that, as victims pay ransoms to the kidnappers the money is instantly converted to more sophisticated weapons and instruments of death by the kidnappers.

“The capacity of these terrorists is rising by the day and we are not far from the moment when the terrorist will become better armed than our accredited security agencies.

“The ACF wants to alert the government about this situation, if they are not aware of it and if they are aware of it, to ask what they are doing about it.

Already, it is speculated that weapons as dangerous as Rocket Propelled Grenades RPGs, and anti-aircraft guns are part of the cargo ferried by camels freely into our country from neighbouring countries.

“It will do the nation a great deal of good to deal with this situation immediately. The ACF is deeply worried,” he said.

Nobody checks their luggage because the security officers in charge there are camels and donkeys themselves. You know; the dumb calls to the dumb.

For once i agree with ACF. Our Security Agencies are to be bpamed for this, allowing peoppe pay ransom to kidnappers. Due to the fact that they're incompetent. The system is bleeped up.

We warned them but they refused to listen. The customs and immigration department know about those movements. I pity those who think they still have a country.
A great leader once told me that if uncertainty is all the surrounds you, self preservation should be your ultimate goal. The situation in Nigeria today calls for group preservation. It is not spirits doing the killings... we all know them. We can see their movements yet all the Nigerian security groups do nothing to stop their operation. Do you need a soothsayer to tell you what's up?

And this is not Ohanaeze or PANDEF abi Afenifere making this revelation. This is coming from their own ACF. Same group that freak Ango belongs. That useless thing that call himself professor. Professor of hatred. A kaffir!
