There's not a whole lot wrong with the line up. I think the major problem is the managers approach.

Ur opposition should determine how you approach a game. If you haven't got a really good back line, then its dangerous to go toe 2 toe with City. Even LFC have been embarrassed twice trying such.

The perfect approach to beat Gaurdiola's City, is to sit deep and hit on the counter.

I expected Frank to switch back to a back five for this game. Use Kante and Kovacic in the middle and allow Pulisc and Werner run riot against that City back line.

So managerial inexperience is the problem. Not the players.
