The problem is Lampard, not the players. These guys play well against the lesser teams in the league due to their individual qualities. It's when they face the teams in the top half of the table- the better teams- that they become unstuck. Lampard isn't that experienced yet, tactically. He and Solskjaer have similar limitations but at least Ole seems to be learning fast. Don't know if Lampard can be given time to do the same.

How did he do it last season with almost the rookies and less outstanding players? We were thinking if we had more forceful striker, better goalkeeper and more experienced defenders we could have easily contested for the title.

We are saying the same thing. This season is not the same as last season. Conditions don't stay static. A good coach will be tactically savvy and try to adapt. Lampard seems to be struggling to do so at the moment...
