Remember the 2005 riot ? Where his residence was burnt? One of the student union leaders died after allegedly receiving a call from him . The story was that The VC called at night and the next day the leader died. Unilag was hot then. Armoured tanks , Helicopters. Students were chased out of their hostels without allowing them pack belongings. It was after some few weeks , they were asked to come back for their stuff and then school was shut down for a while. Yeah, 2005,

Imagine the whole Unilag students paying #10,000 each for damages during the saga that led to the death of our SUG president then and the untimely and abrupt end of the Student Union body. Police and Army enter like say na war film them dey act, spraying tear gases, using live arms on hapless students on top our right oooooo. I lost vital documents that period. #Its well o �

E pain me Sha. During the riot , some students that actually went to his high rise residence at Staff Quarters looted some things. Me dey do good student and gentle boy. Little did I know that I was still going to pay for damages. Chai !!!! Somebody should please multiply 10,000 by at least 100,000 students grin grin grin grin. E don tey wey Dem don dey use us cash out

It was after resumption that they increased hostel fees to 18,500. E pain me die angry
