Good morning my fellow nairalanders There is somethings I would like to confirm from you If someone living abroad I.e America Dubai UK want to send money to someone living in Nigeria Can the money be sent through bank account? Will the currency of other country automatically convert to Naira? Please share your knowledge because I'm lost |

If they’re sending through WU or MG you can choose your pick up option to be bank account. |

Olamilekan95:The best way is to send the money through Nigerian agents that send money to Nigeria. You will get far better rate compared to what western union and the rest will give you. |

As at today, if it's Western Union, CBN has now mandated payments to be in dollars. Normally before, whichever currency the payment is made in will be converted to naira but now you'll be paid in dollars. You'll need to convert it to naira on the black market and you'll get better rates sef. |
