We can always settle our differences here within the Niger Delta. Naturally, land disputes cuts across all regions, countries. We have a more pressing issue at hand. Ikwerres and Abonnema + other riverine areas have mutual understanding
cant u defend? cant u ask them which land Izon people grab?

Calm down bro. Let's hope for a better tomorrow. Rivers are United for a better tomorrow. Don't worry
Don't let anybody deceive you!
All these groups are just after what they can take from us and their politicians hope we will fight their battle for them. I am angry, 2019 and election that was none of our business led to a massacre in Abonemma, people were attacked in Okrika and Bonny but all the resources and developments are not coming to these places. Out of 23 LGAs only 2 are getting the bulk of the states money. We've been hearing calm down since 1999. This attempts to pacify people that don't serve our interests isn't working. Let's face our own issues and forget the rest.

The Ijaws are a domineering, cantankerous, violent, aggressive, antisocial, set of people.

Ever had an encounter with them?

The first thing that comes from their mouth is "I be Ijaw o"; a subtle way of intimidating their neighbours.

In many parts of Warri and environs landlords are scared of accepting them as tenants.

They are the Foolanidiots of the Niger Delta.

Let every tribe protect themselves.

Ijaw people, abeg make una dey una dey.
.
thanks oga. we only want to carry u people along.. our lands are already protected, or have u heard any fulani man touch any izon woman? we only want to help u people.

Re: Insecurity: Ijaw Youths Push For Security Outfit In Niger Delta by Litmus:
Bad idea. I cried and pleaded against kidnapping when Militants started it and I shall cry against this - for the record. In addition to reasons others have given for why these security outfits springing up all over Nigeria bode worst than the benefits, I’m going to add, in the case of Delta state, the presence of the now dormant Militants outfits. You want to push weapons into the hands of another group of people while you haven’t provably or demonstrably disarmed militants. In addition, every ethnic group will create their own "armed security" since Delta State is like a miniature Nigeria.

I suggested once before that Central African conflict that France fed on for decades is winding down and sometimes it looks as if Nigeria is being prepared as the next feeding basket. It just seems as if the chess-like pieces are being put in place. Ordinary Nigerians need to watch these things keenly and kick back against them. One instance of the West’s grate marketing strategy is to create fear before hitting you an unpalatable cure. Sometimes it looks as if Nigerians have been sold fear of Fulani and this fear has soften you for the unpalatable remedy, which is that of these security outfits that are actually nascent warlords armies or will morph into them. The future rapists and murderers of your average man women and children.

Never mind them. It's a fact the Ijaws are a source of pride and hope for Niger Deltans. Land disputes abound everywhere.

THE PEOPLE OF YENAGOA ARE EDOID NOT IJAW.

THEIR LANGUAGE IS NOT IJAW.
We chose to be identified as Ijaw Because of our cultural practices , religion etc being one. Language isn't the only yardstick used to define ethnicity. The Epie Atissa of Yenagoa resulted when the Ijo of the area accepted Ifa migrants as settlers and their cohabited with each other untill their fused into one people.

THAT IS NOT THE POINT HERE.

THE POINT IS IYC SHOULD QUEUE UP WITH ESN.

NIGERDELTA IS NOT HOMOGENIOUS.

NIGERDELTA IS NOT HOMOGENIOUS.
What is ESN?
Is that the South East branch of Fulani land grabbers?

We know already that Ipob is up to with ESN, raising an army to subjugate the Niger Delta just like Ojukwu did under the pretense of "fighting the north".

But a very rude shock awaits you all despite the military might you're amassing. The Niger Delta is not the docile people your cowardly igbo army (who never shot a single bullet in the north) overran in 1967.
