Mast portion is not to be sold with the property, and by the way can you wait 10yrs before receiving payment from d telco? If the value of d mast area is added to the price can you pay the price? If yes the landlord will sell both to you.
PS: probably u think the rent on d mast area will turn you to millionaire right? I laugh in Spanish, you don't even know that well to do people reject the payment they offer sometimes. But I'm glad to educate you.
You+the original owners of the land+the family are thieves, nothing more. The owners already received 10 years payment but decided to sell the other parts of the land along with the dilapidated structure

I understand land is pricey in Lagos but selling that property is building from the ground afresh. The mast area is a part of the land. And that it is closest to residential buildings is worse! The landlord must be one greedy human and you, supposedly marketing the place is doing a bad job.

Any reasonable human being who values his or her life and living conditions won't sit in the same compound with a telco mast. Convert the vacant areas on the land to a farm.

How can you receive a 10-year payment from a telco and then sell the land, leaving out where the mast is? Who gets exposed periodically to radiation? Who comes down with cancer in the end? Who receives payment from telcos?

Again, you, + the landlord and whoever thought to sell the land after leasing a part for mast use are bunch of criminals and horrible people.

As much as I wouldn't buy a land close to a mast or lease a portion of my land to a telco company, I don't understand what the problem is exactly .

Health wise it might not be safe but saying they are greedy/ thieves is what I don't get. The buyer can see that there is a mast close by, its not anything shady, the buyer will make an informed decision.

The portion of the mast is leased, that is the only portion the owner cannot sell ( at least until the lease expires)

They want to sell the other portion is that supposed to be a crime? They want to continue their lease contract with the telco is that also supposed to be a crime? I don't think so, its the prospective buyer that will do his due diligence if he decides to buy, its his own fault not the fault of the sellers. His own korokoro eyes is seeing what is on ground.

No crime has been committed here.

Here's where the greed is; a telco company was leased a part of the land for 10 years, and the landlord has received a 10-year lease payment. First is the danger of continued exposure to radiation being emitted from the base station but that isn't the issue to the landlord. He agrees to the deal to sell that tiny part to the telco company for cool millions of Naira and then realise he can no longer stay there, possibly because he has been advised of the dangers. He could have outrightly sold to the telco but they might not want the entire land and it is an unwise business move. This particular land is dangerous to health as it is but the landlord and our esteemed omo onile must maximise profit. So they decide to sell the land but exclude the part they leased out for 10 years so that they can return in the not too distant future to cash out again while the new land owner is well marinated with radiation emitted from the base station.

Since the landlord still has a stake in the listed land, it won't be long before his many children rise up to lay a claim to the land after his demise and pursue the case legally, but that isn't the point.

The land is listed for sale, and the landlord has received payment for the leased part. He should outrightly sell to whoever is interested, so that the person can decide to terminate the telco contract after ten years owing to prolonged exposure or choose to get paid at his or her own detriment. You can't eat your cake and have it.
The land has been made unfit to live on because of the mast.

The first bolded - how do you know this first info, because the guy said tenants are living there

2nd bolded - let the regulatory bodies enforce that

The point still remains nobody can teach the owner of the land how/when/what to sell.

It is left to the buyer to do his own diligence, if you ask me the seller is honest enough, he has said it as it is, prospective buyers know what is involved.

The seller still has the right to sell or not to sell any portion of his land anyhow he wants it and honestly non of us has the right to tell him how he should sell his property.

All this grammar we are speaking sef , maybe the land has already been sold grin grin grin

NETWORK MASTS EMIT RADIATION, ALBEIT IN SMALL AMOUNTS. PROLONGED EXPOSURE IS THE CONCERN. YOU COULD HAVE READ THIS BEFORE JUMPING ON THE DISCOURSE LIKE A MARKET WOMAN.

The greater concern among the public over proximity of masts rather than the use of handsets, even by children, is understandable. The apparent unrestrained proliferation of masts and antennas, in some cases with minimal public consultation, has led to suspicion and organised protest, particularly where these facilities have been sited, or have been planned to be sited, near schools, childcare centres, and the like. Masts often represent a visual obtrusion, and the sheer number of antennas on a mast shared by several carriers encourages the casual observer to assume that the EMFs can be focussed or at least enhanced in particular locations. Although the levels, when measured, are indeed very low (up to a few thousandths of the permitted levels), the continuous and whole‐body nature of the exposure gives the concern some justification).

If you assume the land is not habitable because the landlord sold some portions to the telcos what about the other land owners surrounding the building who did not receive a dime from the telcos? Are you expecting them to vacate their own apartment too despite not benefitting a dime from the deal?

let me quickly add my opinion to this.

As a Radiation Physicist, I believe radiation Emmitted from a Telcom mast is so infinitesimally small that it's effect on biological tissues can be said to be insignificant.

Radiation Emmitted from a Telcom mast is classified as non ionizing, low energy type. Though there have been concerned from different quarters about the effect of its prolonged exposure. As an authority in the field of radiation I believe before you could talk about the effect of prolonged exposure to non ionizing radiation, then maybe you will be in your 100s if at all you will experience any effects in your lifetime.

Bro, calm down. Mast no dey give cancer oooo! I have a family that stay close to my area. Visit them regularly
They have a working mast in their compound erected since 10 years ago and everyone living there are all doing fine. You need to apologize to Ademat7 for using unverified or uncertain info to spoil his ad.
