Ossoff in a way reminds me of Barack Obama when he first broke into national limelight by winning the Illinois senate race in 2004. He’s young, handsome, energetic and a smooth talking Democrat just like Obama. I won’t be surprised if he goes ahead to contest for president in the next eight years.

This was possible because both Democrat candidates used the dropped $2000 stimulus check to campaign. That was a smart thing to do. They basically promised Georgia voters that they will vote for the check if they were elected. Trump also calling Georgia elections a fraud helped to keep republican voters at home.

Kudos should also go to Stacy Abrams. She did the bulk of the grassroot politicking. Georgia has always been a republican stronghold even during Obama's presidency.

I agree with the first part. But I disagree with the second. If Republican voters had stayed at home, the race won't be this close. Democrats would have won by a wide margin. People were just tired of Trump and his antics. That's why some of them voted Republicans at the house level and voted for Biden as president.

This is just the honest truth. That guy should have been called to order since but they refused to do that. Their surest and best opportunity to do that was during the impeachment but they missed that opportunity. Now he came from nowhere and gallantly destroyed a party most of them built together in years.
