post=98038270:Paul B were into building construction but it's this silly nepotism is why government gives them roads, stadium they have no experience in. Usually, sensible government awards projects to a major firm under whom the likes of Paul B get subcontracting experience. That's what Enugu state did with Arab Contractors and Ngige did with RCC. The only good roads built under Peter Obi was the head bridge to Umunya by CCC who also did the old Enugu road. The rest are all falling apart under local contractors. Same goes for government buildings. A lot of the buildings at Coo Teaching Hospital in Awka are falling apart. Substandard contractors equals substandard work. Monimichelle has experience in stadium construction and it shows. |

Landmack:Chino with his many monikers is a certified paid agent of Obiano. His job is to abuse anybody that questions any of Obiano’s projects and to hype Anambra unto unearthly fantasy such as "largest airport" for the umueri Airport or best roads in Nigeria when our cities have dusty pot holed roads. The best thing is to ignore the idiot. |

I am happy that there are projects on ground to argue about. Most states with better allocation have nothing to show. Obiano should try and complete all the projects he started. When another governor comes he will build on it and probably face the other areas that Obiano scored low on. Criticism is good but let it be constructive. Give kudos where it is due so that when you come with knocks people will not misconstrue it as bad belle. My fear is that people will buy into the negetative campaign against Apga from the opposition and throw away the good governance that we have been enjoying in Anambra state. Then the hawks will gather once again and return our state to the 1999 -2003 era. Nigeria and Buhari's story is still recent and fresh. |

Mktinsight I honestly like d manner in which u point out your observations without cussing anyone. Keep it up. Also could u also do those viewing this thread daily a favour by attaching whatever proofs u have to validate your argument. If u say so & so govt project carried out in road A is substandard or the materials used in constructing d stadium are of very low standards or d Airport is a white elephant project or too small 2 be a passenger airport...fine! We would also luv u to back it up with clear facts/recent pics of your claim including a recent inspection tour carried out by yourself. Any misgivings about projects carried out in d state should be backed by fact, figures and possibly recent pics. Then i think one who resides in a particular state and not an indigene can also make an input on issues concerning where he/she lives legally, ,,possibly even one from same region can do that...or are indigenes of a state be the only persons to discuss about issues concerning their state? If yes, then where's d democracy we say we practice? Yes,one will say this an Anambra thread but does it mean only Anambrarians can shook mouth in this thread? Personally,As a true daughter of d soil i find no qualm in someone who isn't an Anambrarian discussing issues/dev happening in my state...evidence/facts/figures should be my tools of winning any discussions. mktinsight:The Bridge Head to toll gate expressway was done by IDC and not CCC as you alluded, Peter Obi awarded that particular contract to IDC, they did that road and not CCC. |

osita76:Obi tasks contractor on Onitsha Head bridge On February 15, 201112:00 amIn Homes & Property ANAMBRA State Governor, Mr.Peter Obi has directed the Consolidated Construction Company (CCC), the firm handling the road from Onitsha Head Bridge to the Zik’s Round About to immediately mobilise to site and start work. The Governor said this last week while inspecting the road at the Head bridge axis with some officials from the CCC and the State Ministry of Works led by the Commissioner, Arc. Callistus Ilozumba. Although contract for the road was awarded by the Federal Government, the Governor said he was in a position to give the directive because he travelled to Abuja several times to persuade the Federal Government to award. “All I am saying is that due to the strategic nature of the contract, we have followed it and know that mobilisation has been paid,” Obi said. He said that Anambra State has immediately taken ownership of the contract in line with the government’s policy. He declared that he is prepared to relocate his office to the place to make sure that the contract which he described as very dear to him, was successfully executed. The Governor explained that the non construction of the road has delayed the planned beautification of the entrance into the State, saying that once the road is done, the beautification will start in earnest. The road, which is designed to have three lanes and a service lane at both sides, would, according to the contractors, affect some illegal structures. |

Landmack:When an intellectual writes, you will know and when an otimkpu trying to earn his stipends writes, you will know too. There is a paid jobber here whose stock in thread is to bully anyone that tries to question the government. He uses insults and gutter language all the time and has uncountable monikers which he uses sometimes to like his own posts or to reply himself. Anambra or any state at that, does not need people like that. |

Very correct reportage about Calabar airport. Calabar airport is the 4th busiest airport in Nigeria outside Lagos, Abuja and PH. boogietrends: |

AnamCity:Seriously that guy BastardWike is an issue of failed state. Someone from Imo created a moniker just to attack another Governor. I keep asking what is his business with Wike and Rivers State that he even has to call a man commissioning projects in his state bastard. Ask him how many have been commissioned in his state, he will begin to run around like he forgot something at Douglas. Nzuzu on freestyle. |
