Well, not to say I am not being empathetic,... but it's actually weird for a landlord to throw you out without rent expiration or refund.. to the extent of cutting light and water when your rent is still running and inflicting bodily harm on an active/paying tenant..

It happens in lagos...where a friend of mine is staying the landlord sold d house without notifying the tenants to pack out...now the people that bought it want to demolish the building... the worst part the landlord collected a year rent from some occupants last December.

You call it my folly? Someone's wife, someone's mother had her face slashed by a Landlord after being cheated. Is that not the height of lawlessness and wickedness. This lawlessness is something they must have been doing for years and getting away with. Now should be the time for their waterloo. I remembered back then when I lodged outside school, I was behind on my rent. I called the landlord as a father and talked to him. I said "oga landlord how can someone live in somebody's house for A year and 2 months without paying rent, please e no go pass this month I will bring something, u don try for me"

the landlord forgave my debt and everything passed. your tongue has power of life and death. use it for ur benefit

but I guess what I'm saying is that your opinion would still have been 100% valid whether or not you brought the ONITSHA thing up. By name dropping ,you're already casting a GENERAL net on the people of Onisha and/or its neighbouring cities ---a claim which might not be true for all onitsha people and hence some people from that region or tribe could feel you're already judging them based on
