Bringing down these buildings do 2 things........

1. Sends out a very visible message that crime will not be tolerated

2. Legal conundrum is avoided.. The likelihood of paid lawyers finding loopholes to get back the property through the Judiciary is well known... Appeals with Counter-appeals only waste the little Government resources..

So this 3rd way might be the proportionate and expedient way, as wasteful as it might seem.
