I usually support Shehu Sani's views but I disagree with him on this. The herdsmen have been wreaking havoc for too long and there hasn't been any serious effort by both the federal security forces and the herdsmen themselves to stop them. It has gone beyond just damaging farms, their selfish actions and disregard for personal property will lead to more chaos if it continues. |

But isn’t this a good thing? The Gov said they should leave the bush area and come into the city. Are fulaniz destined to live in forest/bush their entire life? One thing I know about rich fulaniz is that they don’t always want the poor ones to get enlightened & grow. That’s why they always prefer them to live in the forest where they won’t have access to enlightenment.. Imagine if all the fulaniz in Ondo forest leave to the city, they’ll be able to have access to updated news and see how things are going. They’ll be able to mingle more with people. It is a very simple thing, the state government should require the herdsmen to present the proof of ownership for the land they occupy. Either C-of-O or rent agreement. You cannot simply colonize people's stateland in the name of being herdsmen. Any herdsmen without such documentation should be asked to leave. Those with the document can readily be traced. Kwanza: |
