I received a call from this same number today. I was called thrice. Thanks to God ,I put the number on google to check if it is real. I stumble on this post.
Only God ll deliver us from this scammers. I registered on jiji recently n placed an ad there. I ll have to changed my number then
nah it depends,if they aren't asking for your bank details you are good to go meaning they are the legit ones
If they start asking unnecessary questions then that's when there's problem.
I later got a call from another guy but was making sense this time.

And today, I got a call from this same number OP stated. 018885056. I remember posting an ad on Jiji 3 days ago too.

I wanted to know the source of the number. Only for me to get a link to the post on Google showing this exact number.

Please beware.

This same number called me just now claiming to be from jiji that he wants to just check up on me. Imagine. I just cut him off and googled the number. Lols

Mehn you guys are so ignorant. That was actually jiji agents calling, they always calls some days after you must have posted an AD to encourage you to go for one of their paid AD plans.
If you go to your profile on jiji you can literally request for a manager's call and that same number will still call you. Every thing has turned scam to you guys

So why can't they just hit the nail on the head. Which one is 'how are you ma' 'we just want to check up on you'. I even asked him if there was any issue and he said 'nooo' and laughed. The line wasnt even that clear, Infact he sounded so scamish

I understand your apprehension. These are genuine Jiji Call Center Agents. They periodically check on clients to know if the platform is giving them the desired result, and to find out ways ypu can be served better.
