It's the mother that is just heartless to have dumped the newborn. She must have hoped that it would be found much earlier and taken into a motherless babies home. Now she has great guilt on her conscience if she later finds out her baby didn't make it.

Ogbeni, no dey talk like that. Not all cases of abandoned babies happened like you stated up there. Some can get pregnant even when they're not ovulating. Women's body cycle needs proper monitoring but some ladies lack these knowledge, hence the unexpected pregnancies.

Despite what it looks like, some of these pregnancies started out well planned for before things took a turn for the worse, so I may not blame them entirely.

Some kept the pregnancy with the hope that the guy responsible would step up once the child is born, but he didn't.
