Europa league is so useless that before UEFA revamped it and ensured direct entry to group phase for its winner, top teams that dropped into it from the UCL usually play a weak side and they regularly get knocked out.

The competition is so useless than a team that makes it to the UCL group stage earn more than the Europa league winner.
