Try to use your brain and understand where Oby Ezekwesili is coming from. The military is not the police. The police do not need the command of anyone to go out for a security operation. However, the military is a different issue. No Soldier has the right to go for any security operation without the command of the president. The reason is because the duty of the Police is not the duty of the Army. The Army is not a crime fighting organisation, their job is not internal security but external security. Internal security is the job of the Police.

The only time you bring the Army into civilian unrest or insecurity is when the Police are overwhelmed, and it must have presidential backing.

If President Buhari did not give presidential backing to the military operation in Orlu, then it an illegal military operation

The Army has no right to leave their barracks or go after anyone without a presidential order
