His removal is said to be linked to the seeming inefficiency of his command in tackling the Boko Haram insurgency.

In May, he took over the theatre command from Lucky Irabor who is now coordinating the multinational joint task force (MNJTF). Since then, suicide bombings and attacks on military formations have been on the rise.

Finally. And the world did not end. I believe the prolonged stay of the immediate past service chiefs did a lot of damage to the military. The incoming ones should endeavour to mend the fences and boost the morale of the officers and men of the Nigerian military.

In addition, Buhari also needs to fire Femi Adeshina (Crowd missed road) and Garba Sheu as they've succeeded in turning Nigerians against the presidency and presidency against Nigerians through their bitter, unprofessional and always unguarded statements they've released on behalf of the presidency.

They make it always to look as if Nigerians are the number one enemies of Buhari. They make Buhari look bad more than the oppositions do, they made Buhari to be hated by almost all Nigerians.
