Top-up your HND or foundation degree and complement your existing knowledge with expert level skills in electrical power, electronic systems design, manufacturing systems design and engineering management techniques. Undertake a major project related in an area of electrical engineering of your choice.

This course is essentially the final year of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. It includes a major project related to your selected topic of electrical engineering. The project needs to demonstrate the skills expected of degree-level students, including a clear argument, rigorous data, critical analysis and solid conclusions.

Students who enroll in this programme need to submit evidence of access to 2-3 of the following facilities at their current place of work or somewhere else accessible by them;

Product Development Lab
• Electronics Lab
• Automation Lab
• Project Lab
• Material Characterisation Lab
• Formulation Lab
• Thermofluids Lab
• Mechanical Engineering Lab

Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, group work, laboratory projects and e-learning. We encourage you to develop independent study skills. You will also have opportunities to present ideas to other students and develop concepts within groups.

As well as assessments that count towards your degree, there are also on-going assessments for feedback and consolidating your learning. Assessment methods include assignment, multiple-choice tests and projects.
