Better still, but there should be drones in the air 24/7 armed with air to surface missiles to provide cover. Modern military drones can stay in the air for 24 to 36 hours, so just 2 or 4 is okay for round the clock surveillance and military readiness.

Hmmm.... Then, it was Afghanistan and Iraq that was unsafe., there ain't any day without killings in those 2 countries on the news.... But now, it is Nigeria... Nigeria beats those 2 countries hands down... Even those 2 countries are now safer than Nigeria..... It's likely that Nigeria will soon turn to a war zone....

Truth be told... I actually blame the citizens of Abuja for this escalation of insecurity.

Something that could and should have been nipped in the bud was allowed to fester and grow...

As for the leaders, there is no leadership in Nigeria as of today!!! I don't know how else to say this... It just can't be overemphasized.

Communities need to wake up and take their security into their own hands... Sit down look na dog name o!!!

We need good leaders who are ready to do the right thing
How can you have a leader who will do the right thing when the average citizen will not do the right thing. We have a culture where it is easier to do what is wrong than do what is right so how do you expect a leader to act differently

Our Humble Submission to the security issues in our darling nation,
Dealing with these security challenges requires a holistic engagement that addresses some systemic issues. However, in order to contend with the specific issues of the security situation and
the religious divides in our darling country, the international community will have to:

1. Encourage the Nigerian government to adopt a multi-pronged internal security and
counter-terrorism policy integrating political, civic, economic, humanitarian and regional
co-operation and emphasizing the accountability of internal security deployments.

2. Provide support to independent interfaith and co-existence initiatives as a credible platform
for managing religious tensions and promoting cooperation between religious groups.

3. Insist that the Nigerian Government take serious steps to ensure transparency and credible
anti-corruption efforts, especially in Nigeria’s petroleum sector, including the disclosure of
grand corruption in the management of the petroleum subsidy, and if necessary, making
this a pre-condition in on-going negotiations by Nigeria for access to multi-lateral.

4. The CHANGE we all seek for begins with us, report any suspicious movement or people in your vicinity.

Together we will win this war.
NIGERIA WILL SUCCEED.

You are just blowing grammar which will not take us anywhere. We like to play ostrich with serious issues.

Whether we like to admit it or not, the root cause of the present level of insecurity is the deliberate indifference of the security agencies to acts of lawlessness perpetrated by people from certain ethnic groups, religious or cultural background. This slowly morphed into a culture of impunity which bred the monsters who are now out of control!

D summary of what u have said is that buhari failed to do his job as president and commander-in-chief and as dictated by section 14(2b) of d constitution. Just look at how ridiculous ur number 1 point is. "encourage the nigerian government to...". How do u "encourage" d govt? Who is going to do d encouragement? Is it d same citizens that are brutalised and deprived by d govt that u want to encourage d govt or is it d UN that should encourage d govt? U clearly saying that d govt led by buhari have no idea about what to do despite buhari being a retired major general. Every other point u made are in d same vein an indictment on buhari and his administration

The true colour of Abuja is beginning to show. those who say it is safer than Lagos can now see.
How on earth do you think it will be better, there truly is no job in the place while everyone has this fake idea that the place is where all the money in Nigeria is.
I am not surprised when someone here said all the man holes have been stolen away. That sounds like what happened to Lagos roads, especially the roads in Apapa, Ijora, Iddo, Costain, Oshodi, Mile 2, etc.
