Total amount of urban population living in slums:

Ghana: 6 million
Kenya: 8 million

There is no such metrics when dealing with slum populations. Ussually they just go with the absolute figures like the total number of slum dwellers in a specific nation and so on.

The bigger your pie chart, the big Urban areas you have in your country, meaning

Countries with many urban areas/settlements have bigger pie/circle, and out of that pie/circle the dark green shows the size of slum settlements you have in your country/urban areas.

So for example,

Egypt, South Africa etc have bigger Urban areas than Ghana so their circles are bigger than Ghana's own. And the dark green colour on their pie/circle shows that slums in their urban areas are smaller compared to Ghana's urban slums.

So in the case of Ghana and Kenya, the chart simply shows that
1-- Ghana have more urban areas than Kenya hence our circle being bigger than yours.
2-- Ghana have less slum dwellers than Kenya hence the dark green colour on our pie being smaller (less than 40%) than yours.

Kenya's dark green colour shows Kenya urban areas are made up of over 60% slums(more than 50%)

Please take your phone to your Maths teacher, he will explain everything to you.
