AFRICAN DIASPORA ORGANISATION PLANS TO BUILD 3.5bn EURO MEDICAL CITY IN BADAGRY.

Badagry local government hosted some members of the African Diaspora Organisation some days ago. The team was in town to assess and inspect the site where the organisation planned to construct a medical City worth €3.5bn.

The members of the team who was received by the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Onilude Segun Adeniran commended the organisation for not only investing in Badagry but choosing Badagry as the destination for the construction of the medical City. Speaking through his Supervisory Councillor For Tourism, Hon. Oluwasegun Hunsu , the chairman said the project would not only provide employment opportunities for teeming youths in the area, it will also be a choice destination for people who travel abroad for medical purposes.

In his response, SOAD Ambassador, Otunba Dele Ajayi-Smith, said the organisation's visit was to reassure the government and people of Badagry about the organisation's commitment to the project that is due to takeoff in 2023. He said Badagry is one of the communities among seven communities chosen across Africa for the pilot phase of the project. The project is about 3.5 billion Euros, so you can imagine a lot of opportunities that will come to the community through the project he said.
