No, we are Ijaw!
Today some of us who used to be referred to as Rivers people before are called Bayelsans. All these states are artificial creations of Nigeria. We are Ijaw, that's our ethnicity.

An Ngwa man is Igbo, an Nnew man is also Igbo.

The same way an Ijebu man is Yoruba or an Ekiti man is Yoruba.

Ijaw has several sub groups like every other ethnic nation in Nigeria.
