But it's the gospel truth... Facebook especially has grown wings.

Can you Imagine how shocking it was for me to click on my settings and discover the "off Facebook activity" that actually occurs on my phone, like Facebook literally tracks everything you do off Facebook! there was literally info on my phone usage time, application usage etc... without my consent...guys please check that setting and control that data mining feature.

Imagine social media totally stripping the rights of a free citizen without metering??

Not to talk about Google.... grin

Yes. His Concern is worrisome. PUTIN said the same thing but as the Problem of Capitalism in a DEMOCRACY. Isn't that what makes Trump unique as a PECULIAR PROGRESSIVE PRESIDENT? MACBAN WOULD FINISH NAIRALAND IF SHE DARED.

Don't mind them. I give you my forum for free to say your mind and so many other things..Yet,all you think you can do is use it as a hub for total and complete lies and propaganda and fake news which might in some instances even led to the lose of lives.

Even little known Nairaland has rules which you must not go against or else na Ban..The last time I had an 8months Ban..Ever since then I have been very very careful.I could not do a thing except to share..If you think they are too powerful, create your own where all you say is rubbish.. simple as ABC

When Twitter controlled the news of hunter biden and even prevented a national newspaper from publication, I knew the big techs have taken more than they could swallow.

No good politician will be able to sleep well seeing what was done to Trump

We don't need communist here. I love what the tech companies are doing. This was how Hitler started world war2 in 1939. Thank God for censorship Trump would have done what Hitler did, inciting violence!

He’s very right. Your details can be easily purchased via social apps with some dollars..

99% of social apps and news station are being controlled by political God fathers..

And dia deal is usually you either work for us or we destroy your platform..

I’m damn sure twitter would never ban trump if Jack wasn’t kiss with a must do deal..

Facebook plants tracking cookies that monitor your browsing history and report it back to FB servers. This happens whenever you visit the websites with FB “Like” plugins, even if you don’t use FB, however if you do, this information is automatically matched with your FB profile. FB knows about your health issues, the medications you use, the relationship problems you have, the porn you like, forums you post on incognito, etc. Secondly
Whatever happens on FB servers, stays on FB servers. You can’t delete a pic uploaded to FB by mistake. It will show as “deleted” in your account, but Facebook officially confirmed it will stay on their servers indefinitely.Nothing like data privacy online anymore, Mark Zuckerberg knows to much, there is the video on youtube where he was asked qstns by a U.S senator bothering on this issues regarding data privacy and all that he was just blabbing.Omo this big tech companies needs to be seriously regulated its nothing a joking matter.

I can't tell the date and time due to uncertainty. And I'd say by that time my posters would flood NL but I can't tell if I'd be on NL by then.

NL is part of the platforms I'd discard once I get married. NL has been compromised. The other time someone uploaded a pornography picture in the first page of a thread and that thread was on front page. I called the mods attention but nothing was done about it.

Let me give you a hint.

At least before they can block someone they have to get a court order to du dat not just wake up give someone blocking like say na dere kid dem carry put for d platform....

The way you guys talk sometimes baffles me; Facebook and Twitter and Co. are privately owned. Before you signed up, you agreed to their terms and conditions (or you don't read them?). Agreeing to their terms&condtn means they work according to it. Besides, nobody forced you to join any of them, it was voluntary so why should they get injunction or court order to remove you? WHich court around the world will have such jurisdiction? How do you even get court order for 3 Billion users of FB for example? Nairaland will also be obtaining court injunction before banning users? I don't get your submission to be frank.

Social media is quick becoming hydra headed.

Not social media bt tech companies using unchecked power to control or manipulate free speech and information.

As regards Donald Trump the answer is quite clear. They have NO Right to ban him indefinitely or permanently. They simply don’t and should be immediately sanctioned by regulatory bodies and concerned countries until Trump’s ban is reversed.

If there is an issue on Trumps speeches affecting credibile policies in the Us let the United States government address it according to their laws. It’s non of the tech companies business or powers Aslong as its not violent.

Twitter has been used to start revolutions around the world and nobody was banned so why Trump

Tech companies must be warned immediately to reinstall Trumps rights on social media like every other human. NOW!!!!!!!

In a few years the massive censorship that'll occur will make Stalin scream in shock. It's already happening, youtube, twitter and fb are actively suppressing free speech and independent thought. An agenda is being pushed and it's crazy because the masses are too busy with tiktok to see their rights eroding.

Are you sure this guy isn't some communist?

The man’s concerns are legitimate and should be looked into, though I guess this is one of the steps in human development. National governments will progressively get weaker while companies and big cooperations grow stronger and will ultimately be the primary form of government.

We may only delay it’s due date.

I knew that HCQ saves lives, imagine how they harrased DR Stella and those group of doctors and censored their videos, now election is over, their candidate won and HCQ can help with early stages treatment of Covid19 and Dr Stella and her team were right
