This is nothing but the truth.
I don't get the idea of suspending someone permanently because of "inciting comments".
I think that should be down to a court of law to decide whether a comment has overstepped the boundaries of free speech and afterwards effect censorship.

The way you guys talk sometimes baffles me; Facebook and Twitter and Co. are privately owned. Before you signed up, you agreed to their terms and conditions (or you don't read them?). Agreeing to their terms&condtn means they work according to it. Besides, nobody forced you to join any of them, it was voluntary so why should they get injunction or court order to remove you? WHich court around the world will have such jurisdiction? How do you even get court order for 3 Billion users of FB for example? Nairaland will also be obtaining court injunction before banning users? I don't get your submission to be frank.

When Trump was blocking people from his Twitter account people took the matter to court and he was told to unblock them so are you telling me he doesn't have any right to block people also...

For me, once I settled down, I'd discard all these platforms especially Facebook. They are all intruders.
I'd only stick with LinkedIn and YouTube. Facebook has been bastardized.
I'm very worried about what Facebook would dig from my old Facebook account and post to the world once I become the President of Nigeria. I don't trust them.

I can't tell the date and time due to uncertainty. And I'd have said by that time my posters would flood NL but I can't tell if I'd be on NL by then.

NL is part of the platforms I'd discard once I get married. NL has been compromised. The other time someone uploaded a pornography picture in the first page of a thread and that thread was on front page. I called the mods' attention but nothing was done about it.

Let me give you a hint.

But it's the gospel truth... Facebook especially has grown wings.

Can you Imagine how shocking it was for me to click on my settings and discover the "off Facebook activity" that actually occurs on my phone, like Facebook literally tracks everything you do off Facebook! there was literally info on my phone usage time, application usage etc... without my consent...guys please check that setting and control that data mining feature.

Imagine social media totally stripping the rights of a free citizen without metering??

Not to talk about Google.... grin
Facebook their own intrusion na small self,na just say their gra gra too much and Facebook also has a very popular face, Mark.
Google on the other hand na low-key intelligence agency. No tech giant has personal info like Google.
Most people today are practically using Google's pixel phone without knowing it, regardless of your brand.
Have we even talked about their satellites?
Omo I don't think there's anything that can be done about these guys o.

They need to regulate the tech companies and their use of internal. It's becoming much.

They will soon censor this UN guy for breaking their Community Guidelines.

Enjoy the New World Order, people.

Imagine a little cunt Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and another little cunt Jack Dorsey of Twitter telling the President of The United States of America to shut the fúck up!

People said it was okay because they hated Mr Trump and his guts.

What these people don't know is that they will eventually come for everyone else.

Only that by then, there'll be nobody to speak out in their defence.

But on a more positive note...

There are now other platforms where people can still share their views without any fear of being censored... at least for now.

Platforms like Gab is there.

Platforms like Rumble is still there for videos.

When Parler eventually comes back, it is still another option.

I said it earlier that banning a whole POTUS is a total assault for that office and his fundamental human rights and the uncalculated attempts by the big tech companies will post a very big threat to other world leaders and the people that will be at the loosing end would be the owners of those big tech companies. It doesn't make sense to involve your hard earned business in politics.

Human lives, comes before human right.
Nobody, i repeat nobody have the right to take a human life.
When someone tries to take a life, we withdrew their right because life is much more precious.
You cant tame tech companies, they re independent.
Trump speech stirred the capitol invation and causes death, his right to that freedom should be withdrawn.
Go to other social site.

Exactly what we have been saying...big tech need to to be regulated, but enlightened people on this forum would call you out as a conspiracy theorist for saying the obvious...

Some of us don't wait for CNN or main stream media to tell us how to think. We see world events and we make our own conclusion...it may already be too late, because these companies already acquired so much power and political influence they could cut off or silence whoever they seem fit.

Misinformation and disinformation did not start today.

That's why people should not just regurgitate what they read online or in books.

Think it through if it makes sense to you.

Think, think, think.

And in today's world, anyone who can control the information you get can control your behavior and the quality of your life.

To see information as a weapon, watch Filinta Musphata Series.

Very educative movie.

Except the Tech Giants are checked, I am afraid we are in for a long ride.

We are witnessing the biggest power grab in history, but people just don't realize the depth of that power.

About 6 companies in the world collectively controls our lives literally.

Consider for instance the Parler case, for just no justifiable cause, these groups ganged up and cut off the platform...

They have no rules the follow, they make them up as they go...and act as an arbitrator alongside...this is dangerous for the future of the world and it seem we may be late already

We don't need communist here. I love what the tech companies are doing. This was how Hitler started world war2 in 1939. Thank God for censorship Trump would have done what Hitler did, inciting violence!

No, the real Hitler's are those who censor you. Those you cannot speak against. Those who could cut you off. Trump has never invited violence for the record, they are still there. He was blocked, according to Facebook, not because he invited violence, but because his follows may judge his words as such....if you must hang a dog, you need to give it a bad name.

And Trump doesn't need these platforms to incite violence, his rallies are enoug, but Trump is a lawful and peaceful man. He has my respect

You're right...

António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres is a Portuguese politician and diplomat serving as the ninth secretary-general of the United Nations. A member of the Portuguese Socialist (communist) Party, he served as prime minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002. Guterres served as secretary-general of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002.

But what the U.N. SEG. General is saying is true oooo...

Wahala for who dey still use Facebook
For five months now I don't have Facebook app, Twitter app, Instagram app I only have and use YouTube, WhatsApp, nairaland Google and quora
I wish Nigerian government could imitate Chinese government and ban these nonsense
The world will be 20 times better if social networking is banned
It has made many youths to be useless, secondary School students don't read anymore
Making vagina people to be suffering erotomania because of number of people that woo them a day
No matter how beautiful you are 3 to 5 people can't woo in a day if you are the street but in Facebook 10 to 20 people in a day even if you are ugly as it's
There is this ugly girl that is doing all these arrogant for everyone only because she has a lot boyfriends on Facebook which I know that if they get to know her in real they will run for their lives

l'm surprised you talk about marriage, is it a man or a lesbian?
