Yes their pace of construction is world worst. The Ibandan-Lagos expressway still remain uncompleted since 1970s. Ajeuokta steel mills forever. Their SGR started before ours....it still under construction. Name any project in Lagos.

Nairobi to Mau Summit (past Nakuru) - is about to started - another toll road by the French.

That would mean from Machakos Junction all the way to MauSummit - a distance of 250kms will be expressway

This thread is 5yrs old now my friend. None of project in first few pages in Nigeria are completed now. Show me one. Kenya projects are completed way before. SGR took 3yrs. Nairobi expressway will be completed this year. There are so many projects that have been done and completed.

Heck if you go to this thread early - and come to now - you can barely recognise Nairobi now.

My free advice to Nigeria - Go to CHINA and Invite their INCREDIBLE CONSTRUCTION MACHINE.

Chinese work day and night - sundays and all holidays - and always deliver on cost and way below time.

They are few such - NSSF towers - Hass and Montave - dogged by legal challenges. But rest are going on smoothly.

That true...an also think the Harambee thing really kinda programmed us in a way anyway, folks here keep on shouting Chinese..Chinese but i think Kenya is benefiting more than them..look at WA countries...China just want yo exploit minerals there but here i think the plan is different..I feel like Kenya will become the gate to Africa

This bridge over Likoni channel plus Dongo Kundu bridge - and Dongo bridge under construction, free port and export processing zone (SEZ) - by Japanese- would be nearly 3-4B dollar investment in South Coast of Mombasa. That area of Kwale-Diani is about to open up big.

For a long time the ferry had constrained developed south of Mombasa.

I watched the quality of Dongo Kundu by african traveler and I was so amazed by the quality standards of that road especially the design for its tunnel.

Likoni bridge is already under construction. The floating bridge is one of its kind in africa.. Progress is all over.

I think chanter ya confused there..the latest number is way down( we did a census).. and by the way Kibera is a constituency..it covers posh areas..

People use to say the same about China when they developing (that is was mostly foreign and american companies building chinese factories).

Chinese said it doesn't matter the colour of the cat - what matter is whether it catches the mices or not.

We need to do to bring Chinese to kenya. Chinese can fix our housing deficit in 5yrs. They can fix our infrastructure deficit in 10yrs.

Chinese simply have the best construction engine the world has ever seen. Those guys work incredibly hard and smart.

I am glad that private sector too is embracing chinese contractors and chinese too are coming to invest in Kenya.
