A former lawmaker for the ruling party in Zimbabwe, ZANU PF, Hon. Luke Phibion Masamvu has died yesterday, January 31 in Zimbabwe’s capital town of Harare.

The former parliamentarian, who was a well-known businessman in Manicaland province was just 63 and left behind a total of 12 wives and 79 children.

Hon. Luke Masamvu’s close friend, Mr Misheck Mugadza, said: “We have lost an accomplished businessman, a family man and personal mentor.”

He lost his parliamentary seat after falling by the wayside during the 2018 ZANU PF primary elections.

Zimbabwe : FORMER ZANU PF legislator Luke Phibion Masamvu died yesterday in Harare from Covid-19-related complications.

He was 62 , he left behind 12 wives and 79 children.

Nine of his children obtained degrees at different universities. In 2020 a total of 10 were at universities. In the same year, four of his children were doing both O’ and A’ Level, Form Threes (5), Form Twos (six), Form Ones (5) while 25 of them were at primary level.

One of his children, Mike Masamvu was one of the best O’Level students in Zimbabwe. He scored 19As and a B in the 2019 November Zimsec examinations.

Mike’s other siblings Kenneth wrote 15 subjects and obtained 9 As and six Bs, while the other one, Kelvin, wrote 10 and passed six subjects.

Sorry RIP ,covid is real ,Don't be careless .however this man frustrated himself to death. ,some think having money is all you need if you must marry more than one wife ...God in his wisdom ordain that a man and a woman should become one after wedding ceremony ,cos he want the two to See themselves as one ,in other to raise godly children ,who will not be nuisance to society.it is not easy to be a caring father of few kids from one woman talk more of caring effectively for 72,sometimes one allow greed and selfishness to led him to early grave ,just look at the northern part of this country and southern part especially south east and south south ,the tendency to raise bandits and terrorists are very low because must marriages over there are between one man and one woman,in that situation u could keep track of your wards but u can't keep track of your wards if u are in a marriage of multiple partners....This is why whites are progressing very well unlike the blacks .chai... despite the economic woes of his Zimbabwe ,this one had the guts to marry twelve wives...
