Over 60% of those applying for visas pay exorbitant money to travel agent to help them secure documents for visas or even visas. And majority of those intending to travel now have 70% plan to stay there. The thing that pained me most is that they didnt allow the man to finish his story before they started their holiness campaign theories

Who stops him from posting here? What else do you want him to tell you? You knew how he got his visa, you knew why he was going to Namibia and you knew what happened at the airport.

You the devil's advocate why not stop criticizing those who decided to do things the right way?

You're going round circles. You went to the UK as a genuine student. You should have also left as a genuine student. Why did you need to apply for a work visa. That's not work the British Embassy had in mind when they gave you a study visa. It's not a crime like i said earlier but you used your Ogbon to beat the system

Lol grin It's Mauritius not Sechelles. I'm not dumb enough to think that travelling to Mauritius makes it easier for me to cross over to any foreign country. I went there to study briefly which i did and came back as a good citizen of Nigeria grin I've been discussing relocating to the US and Canada for the past 5 years and i haven't gotten through to actually taking the step because i don't want to be an illegal considering i'm a law abiding citizen grin

You went to Mauritius to study briefly? Yea tell that to a year old baby Afam4eva, you couldn't make it to Canada from Mauritius by sea and decided to come back to Nigeria to keep dreaming again.

Let me educate you a bit about Uk student visa at that time..there are many work programs available to foreign students who graduated here and schools organizes seminars to encourage foreign students to take advantages of work programs to gain work experiences.

So foreign students are eligible to apply and explore other opportunities.

So dude i don't need to come back to Nigeria to apply and i don't need to inform the British embassy before making that decision.

I still dont know why i will pay ₦500k to go to Namibia if im not planning to relocate
Because you dont see anything special about the place, due to your exposure and enlightenment. The same way many will see no reason to spend more than the normal visa fees for usa or canada visa i know some ppp who even count it as absolute stupidity and madness for anyone to pay 50k usa visa fees but yet many here critising this man will happily sell their cars and properties worth millions just to even secure if possible a 2 weeks visa to usa, many critising this man may have even tried usa and other developed countries visa more than 4 times and yet they keep trying, they don't see the money as a waste due to their perception.

it depends on the country bro....thats why if you visit some embassy website you would see it there..i can name some ...EG mexico..lets not talk sometimes because we have the power to bash someone online..my annoyance..the guy was not even given the chance to finish up..its very very wrong and unfair..the guy is going thru the worse situation..imagine been locked up like that for hours after spending alot of money..yea you can say he brought it on him self..the question is...would they treat a south african, eqyptian,or another national of another country aside nigeria and ghanians...the answer is NO..i dont want to mention oyinbos..we all know oyinbos dont commit crimes..LOL.according to african mentality...in nigeria even thiefs would be the first to cast the first STONE..for me the guy didnt commit any crime he was profiled because hes from NIGERIA

This type of information is virtually in all Embassies including the US Embassy, even the one I saw at the US Embassy included not giving kola. These shameful acts, unfortunately are carried out by their local (Nigerian) staff.

Have I not spoken the truth? Have you not heard about ppl selling their houses ,properties just yo enable them secure usa or canada visa ? The issue is about the person perception about what he or she is doing and about where he or she is going. While some see travelling as the only way out of poverty and their only gateway to success , some see travelling as a waste of time, perception determines a person's sense of direction and action. The subject of this story obviously thought namibia is his own gateway and he spent a lot on it. I heard of ppl who spent 400k on Venezuela visa years ago.

I was in Namibia in 2014 for tourism. Visa fee was just 13k. Duration of my stay was just for 9 days. They give u what u state on your application. Their immigration is very crazy. I was held up for close to 8 hrs. They kept asking why I chose Namibia of all Southern African countries. Y not SA? I was thoroughly searched and my visa was repeatedly scanned. Their reason was they stopped Nigerians and Ghanians from entering their country cos they come with alot of fake documents and once they are in their country, they go straight to their immigration to get their passport. Their passport is visa free to UK and other reasonable countries. Mind u I'm a female. They eventually allowed me in cos of my gender, called d hotel if I have paid and counted my BTA. That was way back in 2014 oo. I spent only 5 days in their country cos i had an emergency back home and when i was checking out, they were very glad about my honesty of returning back to my country. They even asked me when i will be coming back to their country.Imagine now that they know Nigeria is in recession and an average Nigerian is looking for an escape route.
The honest truth is d guy is locked up to be deported back to Nigeria. Namibia immigration is very tough. They don't like West Africans at all . Op, the pastor's name is Pastor Kenny of Christ embassy right?
pls forgive my ignorance..what's BTA? thanks.

You used a visitor visa to try and stay in Namibia permanently. Always do things the right way and don't resort to short cuts.

Yes, but you heard him claim Nigerian. They will insult Nigeria and curse the country but once they are in trouble abroad they start seeking pity and claiming they were harassed due to being a Nigerian

It is affecting me because I come from the same country and people like this make it difficult for others with genuine reasons to go there. If you can't see this then you need to change your orientation
100...I plan on visiting Namibia and now when you produce the green passport they will treat you like a common criminal.

Stop listening to Nairalanders some of them are not mentally sound. If only you knew, you won't have sacrificed your future from taking the advice of an anonymous person who might be a 12 years old kid

The money you paid for the visa alone could have been used to buy land, rent a flat or start a business. You left your good job for this?, nawa.

Do your own research and learn to appreciate Nigeria, we have so much here but it's easy to sink into the thinking pattern of some online sadists

You made the bolded statement in 2017...do you still share the same sentiment till now?
