What was the total FDI in dollars?

Nigeria needs it more, Buhari might not be popular but he seems to be doing most at least in my outsiders point of view
According to the UNCTAD 2020 World Investment Report, FDI flows to Nigeria totalled to USD 3,3 billion in 2019, showing a 48,5% decrease compared to the previous year (USD 6,4 billion in 2018) under the effects of austerity measures. Now back at USD 4,5 Billion in the year 2020, The total stock of FDI was estimated at USD 98,6 billion in 2019(Kenya's total stock was just USD18.9 billion in the same year) Some of the main investing countries in Nigeria include the USA, China, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France.

Well if it means I don't get killed for it and it grows back then why not!! Also it makes perfect sense economically and conservational !!
You know why I got triggered , becz I am close to this issue , rhino population due to poaching for their horns has put them into near extinction.

We barely managed to save ours , authority to shoot on sight in my country is very restricted , after lot of pressure by us it was removed for forest guards guarding the rhinos . ( Even if one wants to shoot a terrorists one is limited by op rules )

Fuccking BBC made a lot of noise because of this , had their team thrown out of the country , guess where their interests lies ba*tards .

Anyways we tried cutting off horns it doesn't not work , the rhinos suffer psychologically , their behaviour changes for worse.

There are barely few rhinos left around the world, starting to sell harvested horns even without killing the rhinos will fuel the demand from the morons in china , next they will conjure miracle medicines for other rhino parts , illegal poaching would then increase dramatically.

After demand increases You might be able to protect rhinos to some extent , but is it possible elsewhere in African and Asia ? No

There are billions of humans ver few thousand rhinos left , how many human poachers will u kill to stop them ?

To think of tangible economic benifits by putting into risk few remaining rhinos is a insult on us humans . It is blood money.

It's simple supply and demand economics...........there are literally billions of $ worth of confiscated and/or privately owned Rhino horn in SA alone........once legalized you flood the market which would dramatically decrease the price, which in tern would dramatically decrease poaching, once the demand normalizes private Rhino breeders like we have in SA already have well established herds and enough horns to meet demand without killing a single animal......Not just that but because these Rhino now have monetary value , farmers will spend much more on security to protect them......would definitely do a better job than any government I might add wink

Rhino poaching has already decreased steadily in SA since rhino horn trade has been made legal locally.

Lastly studies suggest their is no long term impact wrt to dehorning......

Sometimes it's better to not speak and be thought a fool cheesy

Ghana FDI
1.China
2.India
3.United Kingdom
4. South Africa

Oil and gas, mining, and agriculture were major areas for foreign investments.

Kenya FDI
1 .United Kingdom,
2. Netherlands
3 Belgium
4.China
sectors targeted by FDI are banking, tourism, infrastructure and extractive industries.

Now see the difference cheesy

RUBBISH TALK grin grin grin COMPLETE NONSENSE grin

rvp20182:
We owe china less than 7B dollars out of 65B public debt
That 7B - about 5B is for SGR railway.

Majority of debt - about 35B dollars is domestic - borrowed from Kenyans.

As for China - if kenya gov sold for example it's share in Safaricom - it can repay all that loan.

Safaricom is now well worth 14B dollars....gov has 35% shareholding.

Kenya gov has many assests in many companies. This is NOT nigeria.

For every sector - gov of kenya has commercial interest - in Banks - for example biggest bank in East and central Africa - KCB - kenya gov owns 20%.

KQ, name any company, kenya gov has serious shareholding.

Before we go into a debt distress - we have many assets we could sell - and clear the foreign debt - about 30B dollars.

Ghana, which is in the midst of an oil and gas boom and saw inflows of $3 billion, as West Africa’s leading destination for foreign investment. Italy’s Eni Group was behind Ghana’s largest greenfield investment project

East Africa

FDI held steady at $9 billion in East Africa, the fastest-growing region of the continent.

Ethiopia topped the region, even as flows to the country declined by 18%, to $3.3 billion.

Flows to Kenya swelled by 27% to $1.6 billion, due to investment in diverse sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality, chemicals and oil and gas.

West Africa

FDI to West Africa declined by 15%, to $9.6 billion, largely due to Nigeria where flows plunged by 43% to $2 billion.

Flows to Ghana also dipped, albeit by a more moderate 8%, to $3 billion.

Your source doesn't prove your FDI is higher than that of Kenya. Kenyan figures are not listed for comparison purposes.
