So many broken bones at National Orthopaedic Hospital IGbobi Lagos. So many lives have been wasted by okada. If I was in power , I would just give them a job and refund 50% of their bike cost to them, then i can crush those bikes to reproduce something else.

There's nothing wrong with bike taxis, but the guys operating them in most parts of Nigeria are lawless- lagos being the worst. They use bike taxis in other countries like Thailand but well regulated. Here, okada guys operate outside the law.

These bike guys are 80-90% Foreigners. They are either staying here illegally or overstayed their time. It’s a real security threat having them litter everywhere, yet some people are saying govt shouldn’t seize their bikes. I’ve been waiting for this development, and the task force are now doing it. When Fashola banned them completely, did crime rate increase? Abeg leave sentiments, these guys are so carefree and constitute nuisance everywhere. Why would a bike drive against traffic on an expressway? Go to Mile 2 down to Ijesha expressway you’ll see these guys against traffic, for pedestrians to cross sef na war, cause they may be coming through one way and you’ll think you’ve cleared the road before crossing only for one idiot to come blaring horns or you hear vehicle sounds.

The government needs to ban all these guys and send them back to their countries. A country without laws has no sins.
