slowly orbit. I am using the data you provided

Kenya has 12,955.749 for 2019 verus ghana 172.947

Now less do basic 12,955.749/172.947.

Kenya pharma is nearly 74 times BIGGER
seems you cant read the data there

Your pharmaceutical industry is a peanut 500 million in 2019

That's 3 times less the size of Ghana pharmaceutical industry in 2019 valued at 1.6 billion dollars

No more quoting data.

Let me help you - Kenya domestically produced pharma was 750M in 2018. Kenya export about 150-200M worth of drugs. Kenya still import about 650M.

Do the math's - by now - kenya pharma is nearly 2B dollars.

Ghana you have ZERO exports, you produce only 30% of your local needs and import 70%.

Look for something else - kenya is pharmaceutical giant of sub-sahara exporting drugs to more than 10 countries.

Mckinsey

In sub-Saharan Africa, only Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa have a relatively sizable industry, with dozens of companies that produce for their local markets and, in some cases, for export to neighboring countries.

Kenya has been pharma giant of sub sahara for long time.

This is 2005

A groundswell of support for developing the local pharmaceutical industry
As early as in 2005, a World Bank study had identified that Africa, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe have the industrial capacity that can be made available to produce medicines for export or for domestic consumption in the face of the diminishing supply of generic medicines from the major producers.

now stop conjuring numbers out of your but hole

Kenya pharmaceutical industry is valued at 500 million dollars in 2019 with import of almost 500 million in drugs

There is a negligible manufacturing presence in kenya.
Reexport of drugs from kenya is less than 50 million.

Ghana pharmaceutical industry is worth 1.6 billion dollars as at 2019
Local drug companies produce 45% of drugs and have the capacity to produce 70% .

Export of drugs is 220 million dollars.

Keep screaming pharmaceutical giant when you Parma industry is a peanut 500 million in value

Nonsense.
Vodacom is owned by Vodafone - and they own 40% of safcom.

Largest mixed used retail - is 2 Rivers - owned by Kenyan - Kirubi
2nd largest - is Garden City - owned by Actis/formerly CDC - British gov investment fund.

Kenya largest hotel - which one is that - that has french ownership .Serena is one of kenya largest hotel chain - and they have branches all the way to Congo?

Carrefour is not biggest retail in Kenya. There many indegenous kenyan stores that replace Nakummatt and now Tusky. Naivas is now about 60 stores.

Airtel is not even worth 20% of the mobile network.

You are free to spew nonsense.
Can u STF, kirubi owns 58% and the Nairobi-based Two Rivers Mall is also reeling under mounting losses. The mall, which is partly owned by NSE-listed Centum Investments, reported a net loss of Sh3. 4 billion in the year ended March – down from a profit of Sh915. 8 million a year earlier.. Everything about Kenya is not profitable, from the Airline, Supermarkets, Housing and now Malls

All good except it's wishful. Quote something to bank your dwarf country.

'500M is just the prescription drug market in kenya in 2014

Now tell us which countries import Ghana drugs.

When you cannot even satisfy local demand.

Meanwhile always remember - Kenya is currently the largest producer of pharmaceutical products in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) region.

57% makes him the majority owner. This a new mall - it not going to turn profit overnight. It has to be occupied and sold off.

And note we are talking just small part of two rivers project - the mall.

Otherwise Kirubi own the 200 acres around it - which will become mini city - as already many building are coming up there.

PLEASE - SHOPS - dispensing shops - you came and bought low end retail shops.

OTHERWISE:

Kenya is currently the largest producer of pharmaceutical products in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) region, supplying about 50% of the regions' market. ... Prescription drugs account for around 78% of the market.

The pharmaceutical industry in Kenya consists of three segments namely the manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

The number of companies engaged in manufacturing and distributionof pharmaceutical products in Kenya continue to expand, driven by the Government’s efforts to promote local and foreign investment in the sector. There are about 700 registered wholesale and 1,300 retail dealers in Kenya, manned by registered pharmacists and pharmaceutical technologists. These pharmacies are accorded a 25% mark-up on retail drugs. The pharmaceutical sector in Kenya is also engaged in assembling capsules, disposable syringes, paracetamol, and surgical gauze amongst others.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Companies In Kenya:
Alpha Medical Manufacturers – Nairobi
Aventis Pasteur SA East Africa – Nairobi
Bayer East Africa Limited – Nairobi
Beta Healthcare (Shelys Pharmaceuticals) – Nairobi

Cardiovascular, diabetes and anti-infectives constitute the largest and fastest-growing prescription market segments, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is reported to be Kenya’s leading pharmaceutical supplier, with around 12% market share. This is primarily due to the fact that the company reduced the prices of key products by approximately 40% a few years back. Around 41% of all anti-infective products sold in pharmacies were licensed to GlaxoSmithKline.

GlaxoSmithKline has been able to garner a substantial share of Kenya’s pharmaceutical market largely due to the popularity of its anti-infectives, which account for approximately 42% of all revenues generated in the prescription sector. The prices of Amoxil (amoxicillin) 500mg, Suprapen (amoxicillin plus flucloxacillin) 500mg and Floxapen (flucloxacillin) 500mg are particularly competitive within the respective active ingredient classes

You're all over. All Kenya malls are owned by Kenya except for Actis.
None by any south african. None by the French.

When Nakumatt died - many foreign supermarkets that have been eyeing kenya - including shoprite, massmart, walmart, carrefour - quickly came and took over as anchor tenants in high end stores.

South African as always brought their A-game and they left without the shirt. Carrefour - came and is now thriving - about 10 stores.

However we have more than 300 kenya owner supermarket stores -

Kenya chains like Naivas are now at 65, Tusky was also 60, Nakumatt 65, and many more.
Lol they all went bankrupt with combined 200 shops

And yet you celebrate shoprite leaving while it had less than 6 shops it shows hypocricy
