Is it possible for someone to start an online PETITION requesting the world Bank to execute the project by itself? If the money is given to our leaders, we all know that nothing will come out of the project, no accountability, no transparency. If the money is given to our leaders based on their insistence, then we should insist on strict monitoring of the project by the world Bank group. I, just like numerous Nigerians have no faith in our leaders. It's unfortunate.

Another one. Electricity that some nations have and use. Even so much left unused.

Where are Nigerian youth. What is the essence of going to University? Where are our elect-elect graduates. They have all gone to telecommunications where they can make money and refuse Invent simple electricity for their household. So bad.
I know some people that have ideas on how to solve electricity problem in this country..but where is the government and organization to implement their ideas??

Read the news story.

The money is for the distribution companies. Those businesses have been incurring losses over the years. This is a great development.

May God bless all the high networth individuals and countries funding these global intervention institutions.

What's the essence of making excess money that you don't need in your lifetime while people from developing countries are not sure of the next meal or are in darkness?

If not to continue their Master-Servant relationship, why would the World Bank give such money to Nigeria when they know the obvious result

So World bank did not approve any money for power sector during the 16 wasted years of Pdp?

Pdp must have looted some brains before leaving the power

You think am a PDP APOLOGIST?

You are sorely mistaken .

So anybody that critizes the Ineptude and incompetence of this disaster of a PDP person?

Besides even if PDP did that, is that now a template for APC to loot?

Little wonder the word zombie is the mostbused word in Nairaland as they abound here.

Thank you so much. Let the people hold their representatives by the jugular. What happened to people's constituency allowance, social-welfare allowance as examples. All these are constitutional.

If government proves irresponsible, let there be organizations that can handle not those that dash money to those the display nudity and have sex on TV.

Will Nigerians contribute to a course on invention through a fundraising channel?

I'm not sure they are giving money to the FG.
It'll be in form of equipment and human support worth that amount

Wait.
There is no mention of that money being put into actual Power generation endeavors.
They won't invest on constructing new more powerful dams.
Constructing air collection fields where air turbines are integrated.
Constructing Solar fields.
Constructing Actual Power generation facilities.
But to share meters(which isn't so bad) and to disemburse the money to discos.
World Bank is retarding actual development.
Tufia!
