Shma2020:
Mombasa is bulding new modern smart cities , modern Bridges, biggest sea ports, biggest shipyards (at par with SA and Egypt) some kind of development in Mombasa can't be traced anywhere in your country even in your biggest city.

Meet me tomorrow if you want pictures.. But meanwhile, enjoy lamu port(LAPSET CORRIDOR) which is now 90% done.
Also a $1. 2 billion roads upgrade

RSA is not at par with Egypt when it come to construction. Egypt is mega construction site - cement consumption at nearly 60M metric tonnes. That is more than 4 times South Africa (at 14-15m). South Africa is almost at kenya level - if you factor that South Africa is twice bigger than Kenya - and has 10m more people.
Austine1213:
You not par with Egypt or SA, know your place

Durban I'd developing $7b billion smart city

when you remove your eyes from your feet as a zombie

you will know that this place is way better than 90% of nairobi

grin grin grin grin

But as usual, youve not taken your medicine yet.

Because kenya is so poor like Zimbabwe, this is the quality of living.

How 80% of of nairobi looks like grin grin grin

mud huts, zinc huts and brown roofs everywhere
You're talking out of pain, ignorance and stupidity.
The debate was about your MAIN CBD, but it seems the heat was just too high for you to start peddling kibera photos.

Without sinking so deep into babyish vibe, I want to give you the wide picture of what you so ignorant with.

Miss trudy and African traveler will take you through kibera and explain the narrative for you.

I know when you see Nairobi, skyline comes to mind then forget about low hidden posh homes in karen, kileleshwa, lavington, kitisuru, muthaiga, lang'ata etc.

Zombies like you will not rant why you don't see those houses when we post Nairobi skylines but rush to sing why the hidden kibera does not show on our pics.

Nairobi upperhill and westlands CBD alone is so massive and her peers are not in West.
Zoning laws is what makes Nairobi stands up against many cities.

South Africa — Botswana — Cape Verde — Cameroon — Tunisia — Algeria — Egypt — Electricity and piped water are universally available in Egypt, 86% of people have sewerage -- well above the average of 30%. Mauritius — Mauritius tops four out of five of the charts in this report

Egypt a playing catchup.

Do you want me to list countries Kenya is behind?

We were talking construction. Yes there is no doubt that South Africa is one of most developed country in Sub-Sahara Africa. That is mostly thanks to minerals - that are now depleted.

Egypt is playing catchup, after all they should be consuming more as their population is 100m

As expected you can't expect Botswana of 3m people to consume than 50 million population. The demand is not the same
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 8:42am On Feb 07, 2021
South Africa for most of 20th century was the Saudi Arabia of minerals - and that is what British/Boers used to build one of world most impressive infrastructure.

Kenya has been unlucky with minerals and we have had to bootstrap resources.

Unfortunately RSA has depleted it's minerals without becoming developed nation.

Last decade alone - economy has tanked - and next decades doesn't look any better.

Start with gold. From being top gold producers for nearly 100yrs - now you're no 8-10. Joburg was built from gold. That gold right now is 10km deep and it doesn't make any economic sense to mine it.

South Africa is familiar tragedy. If you know anything about Latin America then you'll understand that Spain and Portugal developed (without industralizing) by minning Latin America dry. The same with South Africa - the whites - dutch/british/jew - mined your country dry and left you poor.

If things were not looking better

-Ford wouldn't invest $1 billion 2021, n closing all Brazil plants
-Google wouldn't have invested 3billion in SA in 2020
-Amazon wouldn't have invested a further $400m in SA in 2020

-Mercedes expanding in
- Isuzu expanding in SA

Before going to Egypt, you need to first come here in Kenya and compete with the peer projects.

USD 2. 4 billion is too cheap for Egyptian Gothic cities.

Konza alone is doing nearly US$14.5bn.

Your automobile industry is good - but generally - you're not doing enough. Your fdi per annum are 2.5-4B dollars. Very small for a country of 60m that is about size of Nigeria.
